I watched The Sitter with Jonah Hill. Very interesting take on what is basically at its core a remake of Adventures in Babysitting. Good stuff nonetheless. Elizabeth Shue, where are you?

She's a regular cast member on one of the CSI shows, I think. Whichever one has Ted Danson. They are on the show together.

Just CSI. The Las Vegas team. I haven't watched it since Fishbourne left. Did you know one of Morpheus's first movies was Deathwish II. He played a rapist.
From working at Blockbuster back in the day I know his really early appearance is in Cornbread, Earl and Me. Curse you 45 minute trailer tape we had to watch instead of, you know, movies!
Catering to the lowest common denominator since Feb 2003.
Okay, couple days ago saw Five Year Engagement, which was amusing and contained a few nuggets of honesty, but was definitely more for the ladies.
Tonight saw Pirates! and I was greatly amused and delighted. I've read all the books and loved them and this held the spirit of them very well. I only wished that there was much more of it.

I watched Star Wars: The Phantom Menace since it was May the 4th Be with you today. My wife and I came to the conclusion that Anakin wasn't magically born like Jesus but rather some dark Jedi or Sith might have forced himself on Anakins mother and then used the old Jedi Mind Trick to make her forget. Thats why when you ask her, "Who's the daddy?", she says "I dunno. He was just born".
It was very much an action movie for adults -- not that it was particularly graphic, but just this level of maturity carried through the story and tone of the whole film.
The things that happen to the main character... I really didn't expect many of them and each time I was equally amazed at how grounded in reality the character and story felt.
Really excellent experience for me.

Just rented Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol and Harold & Kumar's Christmas. MI:GP was really enjoyable. However I feel about Tom Cruise and his insane religion, that sumuva##### can still put together one heck of a movie.
Harold & Kumar 3 was okay, but I was watching it in standard 2D and not 3D where it was clearly meant to be watched.
I pulled up Citizen Ruth on my roommate's Netflix account. He'd never seen it before and we both got a few chuckles out of it. That movie's a crude classic of dark humor.
...now, if we can just get Professor Pyg confirmed.
