Thats the last chase Superman?

What a let down of a set.

They should have never previewed #001 Superman and Black Adam early.

Once they previewed those, most of us expected better dials... or dials similar to 100/300 pt BA or 150/300 pt Supes.

Notice how Wizkids also previewed Manhunter Grandmaster really early, and its the best LE.


Looks like you can buy Superman cases right now for about 150$ average.
For apparently sold out expansions, Cap cases are getting dirt cheap. I found one for 115$ retail shipped.. a CASE.

At least the rares/SR's in Superman are better than the junk in Cap.

For around $50 USD I picked up everything I need from this set at CS.

Superman set looked promising at first and I liked all the 100-175 pt beatsticks/ team players. A great selection to choose from when designing teams. This set is a good way for players without WL Flash to make a competitve DC universe team that isn't Kidtron or Bentron. Its also a good set to fill out Superman type theme teams.

Unfortunately, I dont make Superman theme teams and I already own WL Flash.

75th and gsx were such good sets.

Why can't Cap and Superman be as good?

That is 7 Supermen within a 15 point swing of 150, with both one over and above. There should have been 9 Supermen with 25 pts between each starting at 100 and stacking to 300. This would have given the ability to work a Superman onto almost any team, now I have 7 choices(+2 more from DC75th) in the 150ish range. I now have a terrible feeling the Fast Force Superman will be 150 pts.

On a side note I do like that Mulletman dial. At least all the Supermen in the set are really good, just too similar in the points department.

I don't get the steal energy. I don't remember him getting stronger because of his fights with villains. He regenerated to be sure, but Steal Energy seems off.

Although I feel that the super rare Flashpoint figures are VERY good (besides the Bat-Man - but he's just too cool).

The Wolverine heal 1 click at the beginning of every turn trait would've been perfect on him. With an added stipulation of only when on outdoor terrain.

I don't get why people complain about cheap Supermans. They're lower cost for better team-building options, especially in sealed where the pulls matter!

Not to mention, most of them still have the standard powers of Superman and if you can't get a feel for them, then maybe you're not as big a Superman fan as you thought. Why does everything have to be some 200-300+ piece?

That's crazy talk! Manhunter isn't even CLOSE to being the best LE from this set.

Also, this set is very, very solid and I predict it will be an exciting and fun sealed set, unlike the disappointment that was Captain America.

I thought all the Les had solid dials and sculpts : /...welll except Beyond Dial is a bit of a disappointment but sculpt is all right

agreed. we have several options for 200 point plus Supermen....and now a crazy tough 300 point cheeze machine. What is wrong with some reasonable clicks as well?

Wow I really want that chase. Kind of bizarre that he has Steal Energy, but it could just be a new way to interpret him recharging.
