Is there any programming you feel like you're missing out on without cable? What kind of TV do you like to watch regularly? Are you a big sports guy?
I don't feel I'm missing out on anything.
With the rabbit ears I get:
2.1 - CBS Pittsburgh
2.2 - Decades
11.1 - NBC Pittsburgh
11.2 - MeTV - Awesome
11.3 - LaffTV - Also Awesome - Go Night Court!
21.1 - NBC Youngstown
21.2 - CW
27.1 - CBS Youngstown
27.2 - Fox Youngstown
27.3 - ???
33.1 - ABC Youngstown
33.2 - Ion, maybe? Seems like the Law & Order Channel
33.3 - Bounce
45.1 - PBS Youngstown
45.2 - PBS Youngstown
45.3 - PBS Youngstown Foreign
45.4 - PBS Youngstown Foreign
53.1 - Fox Pittsburgh
53.2 - ???
53.3 - Grit TV
*** The ones in this section used to come in, but I changed the position of the antenna and lost them. I imagine I could get them back if desired.
4.1 - ABC Pittsburgh
13.1 - PBS Pittsburgh
13.2 - PBS Pittsburgh
13.3 - PBS Pittsburgh
16.1 - ??? Ion?
16.2 - ???
16.3 - ???
22.1 - WB, maybe?
There really doesn't seem to be much I'm missing, and I wouldn't really know if I was. I definitely don't see there being anything I'm missing enough to warrant spending over $100/month.
So if there's interest in the LPC Secret Santa, now would be a great time to PM me your info (name & address) and a list of interests/possible gift ideas (maybe shirt sizes unless you have some kind of hang-up about wearing clothes someone else bought for you).
I'd mark 12-16-16 as the date you should get stuff shipped by to allow our postal system to get it where its going in time for the holiday. Let me know!
Catering to the lowest common denominator since Feb 2003.

Between the time it would have taken to gather all of the materials, the cost of the materials, and the assembly I'm sure I'm ahead right there, plus I have the added benefit of not having a gigantic hunk of wood that likes the nightmare result of a 7th grade shop class project in my living room.
my admin assistant (who has an engineering degree) put his together in one afternoon, and spray painted the whole thing black and it looks fine in his house.
I couldn't have done it, but then I lack such skills.
How many of you are familiar with the character Star-Lord?
My wife and I were talking about good castings in the Marvel movies, and we were trying to figure him out. I'm not really familiar with how he was in the comics, so I don't know if he nailed the character, just got parts of him right, or totally went in a different direction. I do know that he was a big part of the popularity of the GotG movie.
So, those of you who know, what did Pratt get right and what did he get wrong? What did he bring that added to or improved the character?

I don't think I have ever had cable. I haven't even bothered to set up the antenna for non cable at all after they changed how the system worked. That was like nine years ago. I really need to do that.
But all the TV I want to watch I can just pick up on YouTube or Netflix or the Amazon Prime TV thing.
