He can use Incap normally; I get that part. What the heck does the part I italicized mean?
Does this mean that if he's within X spaces of a figure (and I assume line of fire is required) that the figure automatically can't use Hypersonic Speed? No attack needed? Doesn't require a target, unlike Outwit or Perplex?
I just saw this, is it from B&B? and the first one...he can use it as incap or he can use it as an attack on hypersonic.. second part, no target needed, as long as that power is showing no one other then him can use hypersonic (think of it as super outwit that targets a power instead of a character)
I thought that first one was worded a little oddly, too. Atom looks pretty cool. I have been pretty impressed with what they are doing with the new starter figs.
I didn't go to Harvard or Yale but I can kick a man in the crotch as well as any other.

I make my living editing/writing so reading the first power really annoys me.
Yeah, for the second power, I think I definitely wanted to be crystal clear on how it works. I just KNOW someone at my venue will interpret that requiring a target, etc.

There's a thread about it in the Rules of Combat. Sounds like it requires no target. All figs on the board that have or can use HSS are prevented from doing so. In addition, if two separate players used him, it would cancel out each other's HSS.
I don't know, I can see this piece being used a lot when the set first breaks, but once people have had a chance to use him I think it will die out quick. He'll become a huge target.

I'm working on a degree in English so I get it, though my academic adviser is trying to get me to switch to journalism I think is what she said, has all the producer/script writing classes I want to take with it...

So the best way to think of Stop! is like an aura. It's just there. No target. Folks just can't use HSS. That works for me...

I'm not sure what the English vs. Journalism class load is going to be like for you so I don't know if that's a factor for why your academic adviser wants you to switch. However, I can tell you from personal experience that the job market in the print/broadcast news industry is really not good at all. I'm actually thankful that I got out of the business when I did and got into something that at least lets me continue writing/editing.
Ultimately, though, a J-school class or two may be helpful if you want to learn how to tighten up your writing...

It's snowing again.

I wish I could call out of work on account of the snow. But my low ##### paying job says I am "essential" personell. So that means I have to come in no matter what. When I would rather be out side enjoying the snow instead of having to come into work.
And still I am waiting for a new Desaad figure.....where is the Desaad love?

I saw that your area of the country is getting hit pretty hard. We got 30+ inches of snow in December and, added to the additional 3-4 that we've had in the last couple weeks, it really makes one look forward to spring.
