Do you think they'll play as well as a team as they do in the books? I get frustrated when a cool team in the books doesn't perform on the table.

Ok all BS Aside Paul: Its a FUnny Book. Its over the Top Action-y with witty writing.
They're pretty much fighting UWMD Unusual Weapons of mass Destruction like Fing Fan Foom, The Mindless Ones and Giant Robot Dirty Cops.

If you have a cursory knowledge of the Silver age of Marvel Comics you should appreciate all the image references.

ANd I can see them playing well in the comics but half of the fun in the comics is the dysfunction

I'd also like to say that while there are a few notable missing figures, this is inevitable. The X-universe is so large there is no way for them to get every single figure in the set. Be happy with the figures we got, and hope that we get some of the missing figures in the future. I haven't been this excited about a set since Hammer of Thor was released and it was the rebirth of Heroclix.

Well, I guess their mission statement is blowing things up. And fighting Elvis MODOK's. Which also explode. It's pretty much a Monty Python sketch of a comic book super hero team. As to how they'll play, I'd think they'd be pretty good and have some nice utility with the slate of powers between them.

When I heard that Stryfe was in this set a while back, I was for sure we'd get a new Cable. Guess not. Just glad we're finally getting First Class Angel. That's a way to complete a team.
