If it's a third party company doing the screening, I'd check directly with the hiring company's recruiting office. I did that after the screening company for esurance got fairly... invasive, and was able to clear up a lot of things with the HR department directly.
Personally, when a company I never heard of starts demanding my W-2s, it makes me more than a bit antsy.
Wait until they demand a urine sample. Russian nurses are not pleasant. I had to dig 7 years back when I got my clearance. Rather obnoxious.

And I just finished season 1 of Dexter. One of the most disturbing shows I've ever seen.
My wife really likes Dexter, but I don't have the patience to get caught up by watching all of the seasons. I did watch the first 2-3 episodes. It didn't grip me tight enough to continue through the rest of them. Curious, because normally I enjoy that kind of dark series.
As a matter of fact, two TV shows that I have been following lately are both about serial killers: Bates Motel and Hannibal. Hannibal has been especially good... and disturbing.

The John Lithgow season is one of the best seasons of any show.
I did hear that. That's what? Season 3 or something? Wish I could've hung in there long enough...
