Maybe. I'm in a situation right now where I can't wait to graduate because I don't think I can handle that much more of being buried under homework, but I know that the second I'm not enrolled here any more I lose my job. And I live in 2014, so I have no idea when I'll get another or what it will be. I could call that a paradox, but that might be dramatic. I certainly am not the only one.

Regarding your little one and preschool propaganda:

Did you point out to her that she was thoroughly enjoying belches until recently and ask her what changed?

I used to watch two little dudes every Thursday for several years. They were, of course, obsessed with belches. I laid down some Belch Laws.

1. Some people are disgusted by belches. Do not belch around them on purpose, and do not laugh if you do. It's silly and pointless, but excuse yourself if you do belch around them, it makes for not having to listen to them gripe about it.

2. If you don't know if someone's okay with belching, assume that they aren't. So, belching in public places, like when we're at a restaurant is not acceptable.

3. When you are around people who are okay with belching, offer constructive criticism.

"You're forcing it. It's hurting your tone and your duration."



This approach did two things. It cut down on them getting in trouble for being little boys who belch and like it, and it took a lot of the thrill out of belching. It was no longer something to get out of control silly over and just became a thing you did.

I got REP in a thread where I posted about backmasking in a GI Joe cartoon and now the thread in question says N/A.

Does anyone know what the thread was and why it was nuked? I can't even remember the subject matter.

I'm sure it was off-topic or not treating heroclix with the proper gravitas.

Pretty sure it was the thread about easter eggs and the text on Mr. Mind's jar. Maybe it got moved to Another Realm (obviously not, since I don't see it here)? I wonder why it got removed. It looked perfectly wholesome when I looked at it.

I was just wondering if anyone saw whatever it was that made it go. I'm assuming there was some blow up/out.

I also noticed there was a thread in Forum Regs asking "Where did this thread go" or something like that and now THAT's gone too.

The men in black came and took that thread away. And then they came and took all the other threads that were asking about the first thread. They'll be coming for this thread anytime now....

Not exactly, but I heard that a lot of HavenPoints traded hands in order to make it go away....

I'm pretty sure that at this point that ARE Havenpoints, and you're the only that doesn't give them out.
