Asking people to chose which half of a set they want to collect can't possibly backfire! The people who play this game aren't all OCD collectors!
I think the player motivated to collect the whole set or all the characters they like will just play both sides. He or she could be pro-reg one night and anti-reg another. I also expect to see "pro-reg" lots or "anti-reg lots" being sold when the event ends for good.
Additionally, if an uneven number of players shows up, someone that wanted to play anti could end up playing pro on that night, or vice versa.
As far as my own collecting goes, I'll treat this like any other set. What I pull is what I pull (and also what vlad pulls on select weekends), I'll keep what I like and trade what I don't like for what I do like, pro-reg and anti-reg disregarded.
Here's the suggested gameplay. A case has 2 bricks, for a total of 16 boosters. This means 16 people can participate in the battle royale (1 booster per player).
Each brick has 2 double-sided maps, 8 bounty hunter cards, and 2 prize clix. So, each battle royale of 4 people will be competing for 1 prize.
It is important to note 2 things. 1. Before any boosters are opened, you roll dice to determine factions (high roll getting to choose first, etc). 2. You do NOT get the booster that you open. It is not "your" booster.
So after factions are determined, their positions are chosen. There are 2 players on one side of the map (1 red and 1 blue), and the other two players are on the other side. So the player sitting next to you and the player sitting across from you are the opposing faction. The player catty-corner to you is the same faction.
Each booster has 5 figs: 2 blue, 2 red, and 1 black (neutral). Everyone opens a booster, keeps their 2 faction figs and their 1 neutral fig, and gives the 2 opposing faction figs to the player sitting across from them. So everyone has a team of 5 figs.
Play time is one hour. At the end of the hour, add up the points of the captured pieces to determine who came in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. Then put all of the clix in the middle of the map, plus the prize piece, and then have a snake draft to determine who gets what.

...that's really compliticated, but it seems like fun.
It's not really that complicated. It makes more sense when the stuff is in front of you.
it actually reads very simple. would be interesting to try, not sure if my venue will do it that way. I'd be happy to play it that way or regular, whatever works.
Well the bank won't give me credit because i'm a bad risk and I don't pay my bills on time. So I have to work for what I have!

Just start playing at Burger King and "You can have it your wayİ".
