@Chaz: Well, for one thing she's also called the King's Red Shadow. Her symbol is a burning heart. She's the head of the court of priestesses of the Lord of Light. They put you a tad closer to that description than most.

The man in the pinstripe suit had fought hard for his cause. He had protected his allies and been a consummate professional, and that was all anyone could ask of him. The town finished him quickly and dispersed into the night.

The duo had stayed out of the fray and under the radar for this long. Survival was, if not their specialty, then at least something they were good at. As they sat in their car, chatting and waiting for the day to come, the door swung open, revealing a woman in a purple dress.

Before she could do anything, however, a hand grabbed her from behind, belonging to a scarred woman. She focused, exerting her power, and the woman in purple was sucked up and disappeared. The scarred woman left the two frightened men in the car alone.
