How about if instead, they send you a new issue retelling the origin of Captain America and how he and the Red Skull are actually half brothers, and that Bucky is the Skull's son and it's written by Bendis? And he and Joephisto autograph it for you?
So, you want Bendis and Joephisto to autograph Charmin for you?
No; I just assumed you were offering that comic you described, for the purpose one usually uses Charmin for. What else would you do with a comic like that?

Well, they do have their fans. And you might be one. Maybe sub-conciously, you truly love the idea of Bendis doing a re-write on Cap's origin.

I reject that theory and all that it implies. Cap may not be one of my very favorite comic characters, but my first exposure to him was Steve Englehart's run on the title. I've seen how Cap should be written. Bendis shouldn't be allowed anywhere near that title (or, in my opinion, any other).

If you think that's a bad idea, how about the idea that Tony Stark is losing his intelligence to the point where he can no longer use any form of advanced armor and so is left only enough IQ points to operate the original Grey Armor?

I'm just quietly waiting for the day when Marvel realizes they have to back-pedal on all this, as they did with the Spider-Clone and Heroes Reborn (and as DC did with Emerald Twilight).
The way I figure it, Reed and Sue Richards (as all parents do sometime or another) parked Franklin in front of the TV to get a few minutes to themselves. Unfortunately, The Apprentice was on, and Franklin got the idea that wealthy businessmen had to be egotistical self-serving control-loving jerks. So he changed Tony Stark to fit this mold. Maybe his power even went back through time; it would explain how Tony could have started this Illiterati thing shortly after the Kree-Skrull War when he was being depicted in the comics of that time as the exact opposite of that control freak.

Umm... the Clone Saga stuff is currently being mentioned in all 3 of teh Spider-Man books. In Amazing Spider-Man, someone who hates Ben Reily is looking for him and the guy's a knock-off of Stegron. And in the new Web Of Spider-Man series, Kaine is back and, In the 3rd Spidey book, titled "Spider-Man - The Clone Saga", the clone saga is mentioned quite a bit, as you can tell from the title. It's an 8 issue mini.
And Heroes Reborn has been brought back quite a few times in the last few years, starting with the Exiles book, and now, the female Bucky from the Franklin-verse has crossed over into the main 616 universe and is now useing the guise of "Nomad" and has her own mini-series.
So, you're wrong about them trying to get rid of that stuff. Rather, they're pileing it back on.

I forgot to mention, the Clone Saga is a reprint, of sorts. Marvel re-hired Howard Mackie to come in and write it as a condensed storyline to help new readers understand the new clone-saga related story going on in "Amazing".
Think of it as the Reader's Digest version of the story.
