Not in the stories I read. It was the Earth-One JT who was evil; and the Thunderbolt had to obey him, because he was Johnny Thunder. (JLofA #'s 37-38, 219-220)

You'd think by now you'd fear the retcon's.
Actually, I only meant the E-1 T-bolt, not his counter-part in E-2.
Now he's no longer straight? Guess he's had enough of Hawkwoman.
Actually, he died again. Tho, this time, he's supposedly not coming back, since he's now a Black Lantern. But then, his original body, as well as Hawkgirl/woman's are being revived by the Star Sapphires, so who knows?
Ooooo...missed this one...though it makes sense because of the "emotion" attached to the Star Sapphires...but have we seen a male Sapphire? Did I miss that?...and Hawk Sapphires...not sure that's a good idea...

Well, it's the Hawkman and Woman before they became Hawkman and Hawkwoman. Their bodies from Ancient Egypt. Back in the days of CuCr's youth, when he was living with his Mummy and Daddy.
Yes, Lady Styx did indeed kill the Captain. Then he came back younger and dropped his rank from his name and is now known as "Comet".
The Super-Horse!?
--the new DC. There's no stopping them now.
wyld
When our story opens, the Question is investigating an impossible locked-room murder mystery involving a midget and a 6'6"-tall call girl into heavy bondage. Don't worry, I'll explain later. It's all vitally relevant.
--Alan Moore, Twilight
Guess they wanted to explain how someone who fought crime in the 40's would be smokin hot 40 years later.
Any day now DC should be retconning it so that the current Black Canary is the granddaughter of the 1940s Canary. In 2009 it's just as implausible that she's the daughter of the 40s Canary as it was in 1983 that she actually was the 40s Canary.

Exactly, which is why I hated that retcon to begin with.
It's the bsic problem with continuity-oriented comics that endure.

Oh, now. You've got to have continuity. Without it, writers and editors feel they have free reign to do whatever they want, and we end up with comics that longtime fans don't want to read and that won't generate any new longtime readers. (And yes, this is another rant on Quesada's Marvel.)
