Is it going to be more of, "okay so scenario A is zombies, scenario B is back to the dinosaur age..." or are we going to create a plot that somehow involves all the teams?
I am going to take the challenge, except I will not take Ralph and take Red Tornado instead.
And I think a draft penalty is fine, Iceman, although I don't see a problem with those of us doing it, but if it seems over balanced, we can always cut it out next year.
Anyway, how are these for Conferences and divisions?
DC heroes, DC Conference
Legion of Super Heroes
Silver Age JLA
JLI
Golden Age JSA
DC villians, DC Conference
Checkmate
Legion of Doom
Marvel Heroes, Marvel conference
The Avengers
X-Men Blue
X-Nation
Ultimates
Asgardians
Guardians of the Galaxy
Maximum Carnage
Marvel Villians, Marvel conference
The Hood's Crime Syndicate
Dark Avengers
Legion of the Unliving
So, how are we going to make this work? Because I feel it going to be play everyone in your conference -that's 7 games- and 1 non conference game for 8. Plus your pre-game will be a non-conference as well.
Any suggestions on how we should group up? And I will need help with coming up with a schedule, as I've never done it.
And Scott bring up an interesting point. I think, as we are all experinced players here, 2 weeks should be the length of games.
Now, this is how I would group them:
Legion of Super Heroes
Silver Age JLA
JLI
Golden Age JSA
The Hood's Crime Syndicate
Dark Avengers
Legion of the Unliving
Ultimates
The Avengers
Asgardians
Guardians of the Galaxy
Maximum Carnage
X-Men Blue
X-Nation
Checkmate
Legion of Doom
This works for my storyposting ideas, where the LOD and the Dark Avengers (through Norman Osborn and the Cabal) will be pull the strings behind the scences. As if this is one world, or even two that are "linked" somehow, I can see the villians (and I only have the X-teams here as those who are hated and misunderstood, and the Ultimates as evil alternate reality versions) but, I can go with other splits if need be.
As for the scenerios, think of them as one shot specials, still tied to overarcing story, much like Hush had a Joker story that advanced the back story along, a Riddler story that did the same, etc. Everyone might fight Zombies at the same time, it might back tailored to each fight ala' the RSPC. Give me some feedback on this. I can go either way. And while I could write this huge thing, if anyone wants to help, or has ideas, feel free to let me know. As some of you know, the storyposting is half the fun for me, but only for my team. If I have to do all the heavy lifting, I better get more rep than just 2 people!

Have we decided if we're doing Midseason or "Place Holder" spots? It affects my final drafting (and Ice's too, I suspect).
We can. I know there are those out there who want one more piece, but not 3.

I encourage everyone to write an intro for your team-it doesn't have to fit exactly with the comic it came from. My Silver Age team, for example, without J'onn, differs slightly and has to take that into account. Why are those people who came together in the Maximum Carnage storyline staying together? Things like that.

Yeah, I have ideas of why the team is back together, why Nighthawk is dead/not clixed and why Cap is not with them.
I'd be welcome to help with overall story ideas and whatnot, but I'm not familiar with every team.
What I'm thinking might work in the scenario department is that above all there should be a direct reason about why things are happening.
Why are these specific teams being called in aside from say the Defenders or Inhumans?
Mortal Kombat vs DC combined those worlds in a sense where it was a third party crashing both dimensions into one.
That's a little cliche, sure, and it brings up the whole "Battleworld" thing but we can alter it a bit.
Or we could go the Exiles route, where different planets and dimensions come together because of one isolated incident.
Personally, I think we should also have good fighting good and evil fighting evil, Civil War style.
...Of course, putting all these pieces together is a different story but I'd thought I'd throw out some thoughts of my own.
