I played against 4 Frost giants in a 400 pont game. I was using a Hellfire Team of:
Leland
Fitzroy
Storm
Emma Frost
and however many Hellfire Guards fit (I think it was three)
I left two of them there giants on that special power that ups thier attack and damage by 3 and got clobbered. Leland did OK slowing them down until his heart gave out. It was a fun game but they are pretty brutal for 100 points.
Yeah, the Giants are great, but they are also commonly cheated with. The wording of that special power says "once per game" but I see people trying to use the spear throw multiple times with the same figure.
It has a ruffled border and it is about 50 x 58 inches. It is not being sold for charity. My cousin's wife's family carries the cancer gene and so far 3 out of 5 sisters have been diagnosed with breast cancer. She asked how much I would charge to make at least 2 if not a few more for her. I have never been good at coming up with prices for my stuff, so I am looking to get a range on what people would most likely pay for this type of item. I appreciate all the help I can get.
Personally speaking, whenever I do any kind of commission work, I try to keep track of how many hours I put into the project. Then I figure out what I think the project is worth. If I am happy with how much I made per hour, then that is what I sell it for. If I think I am worth more per hour then I figure out, I raise the price accordingly. You need to walk that fine line between how much something is worth, and how much your time is worth, and hopefully a happy medium can be found.
One of my private lessons, that I've had for the last 6 years or more, is named Timmy.
My brother in law is named Tim (realms: Timster). I rotate between the Southpark "Timmy" call and an older school reference to the old Dinosaurs show where they would watch a science show call "Mr. Lizard" and the tag line after killing his assistant was "We are going to need another Timmy". A very handy phrase that gets used nearly every time I beat him at clix.
Yeah, they aren't convention teams, that's for sure. I like to challenge myself. Winning one game was great with the first team. Pulling out a whole tourney with the second was a major bonus. That Cannonball is a real nice piece. I can't wait for the X-Man version.
Yeah, I have been surprised by the Hellions as I have seen them in over 10 games (played by me or others) and have never seen them lose. Good study in harmony in team building as none have overpowering stats.

The problem that she is having is that she doesn't know how much her time is worth. It takes her an estimated 30 hours of work per blanket and she would be making two of them. One of her biggest hang ups is that it's for family and she doesn't want to price gouge family. The overhead to make them this time around (Because of a sale on yarn) is $!4 per blanket. I told her that I would accept nothing less than $50 for each blanket. Even at that price she is only making back the original $14 investment and only $1.20 per hour that she has to work on it.

Personally, I don't think $1.20 an hour is acceptable. But then it's not like you can charge $8-10 per hour either. That is where I said you have to find a happy medium. We often do signs for less than they are worth, simply because you just can't charge someone $80 for a bunch of tiny vinyl letters, no matter if it took you an hour and a half to produce or not.

I was thinking of playing the Hellions in a 300pt game coming up this weekend. White Queen, Empath, Roulette, Tarot, and Wolfsbane. Then some undecided feats to round it off. Or should I drop Wolfsbane and go for either Cannonball or Warpath? What do you guys think?
