Good luck with that on this bunch. Can't keep anything straight with them.
She used to be a lot better about it, but even I seem like I'm falling behind lately. I've been working very dilligently on organizing and catologuing my old Overpower cards to sell to be able to afford going to Gencon. Very suprised their is still a market at all for them!

I should probably look into that. I'd bought two boxes of them years back - I believe one was for the original set and another for an expansion - and never got any father with them than opening all the packs.
Are you going straight to ebay to determine the current market interest and value?

No, TAT found this guy (Who does sell on ebay) that buys collections. He is primarily interested in the latter few sets that had very low print runs and therefore were rare. He got a decent amount of cash for them. I have more that TAT did, so I'm expecting for it to pay for my Gencon trip and then some.

I've bought Overpower cards as recently as 08. Haven't played since 01, though.

Good luck! So, does he have a Buy list with prices, or is this just a case of presenting him with an organized list and having him make an offer?

I think I bought these back in late '01 or the first half of '02, but have never played a game of it. Clix came into view soon after and my comics-based gaming was covered.

It's a fun game. The cards i bought were some IQ era Marvel guys I didn't have...I figured I'd get to play, but that hasn't materialized since it'd be up against HeroClix.

I believe it's pretty much as you described it with the organized list. Luckily, I have an awesome wife who set up excel spread sheets for each set that we are plugging info into. Somebody should help me rep her for her awesomesauce.
Being OCD makes it hard for her to do things unless they are extremely organized, though.

Unless someone's solidly locked in to wanting the characters be as they are in the comics, or simply walked into the wrong theater and wanted to see a different sort of movie -- or maybe if all the person heard in advance was glowing, hyperbolic praise -- I don't know what would lead someone to have a bad time with X-Men: First Class.

I enjoyed the opening sequences until Mystique showed up. Some of their overall character choices made me go "Huh?" None of the foreign characters had foreign accents (but they likely just dropped those origins altogether which leaves me asking why?). Half of the cast phoned in their performances (except January Jones who apparently had no cell phone service so she didn't bother even doing that). Darwin felt like a pointless addition. Riptide's inclusion was mind-boggling since there were so many greater choices. Sebastian Shaw did not need a power change (especially since they could have used a more balanced Hellfire Club). I hate Azazel. I felt a few of the characters were completely out of character. The prequel can't tie in very well with X1.

Riptide? Riptide? I thought that was Whirlwind!
And before anybody says 'sol is a moron', he is never named in the movie, and whatever he was doing was not what Riptide or Whirlwind does. And they are both mutants.

Me too! I figured it was a little nod to the fact that no one ever remembers him being a mutant!
Catering to the lowest common denominator since Feb 2003.

Eh, just call him Whirltide.
"Ripwind" = too easy.
