The winning story of the day was when I stopped by the Toys R Us on the way home and found two full sets of the new GSX Collosal figures at the store. Bought them out. I now have 2x Frost Warriors, Onslaught, and Nemesis, with a whole extra set to sell. TPChid already spoke for the Frost Warrior.
I need one of each. Are you willing to trade any? I have chase figures!!!
I know I tried Jekyll when that hit BBC America a few years ago and it didn't grab me at the time. I watched the first episode, but I don't believe it drew me back for any of the remaining five. I have few specific recollections of it, though, so it could have been as much a victim of inopportune timing for me as anything to do with the plot, script and/or acting. Several items I initially turned my nose up at came to be favorites a little later, and for all I know this single-season series may prove to be one of them.
Oh, I'm a Dr. Who fan, too, btw.
I didn't get into Jekyll at first, either. I think I watched maybe 2 episodes before deciding not to continue. However, it was televised again at some point, and I decided I was curious to see where it went. (I had originally thought it was going to be too predictable.) I was pleasantly surprised with how good it was.
These days, especially, DC's been having identity crises.
It went through a stretch in the past few years where it was defined by a mix of events, especially Lantern and Batman ones, and then it was tossed into the anything goes land of Flashpoint and now into the New 52.
With Hulk, what we know so far shows us that we still have room for the set to bring us some surprises:

*LOTS OF SAD INFORMATION GOES HERE*
...
As I have two cases of this coming my way -- ordered and paid for months ago -- I have more than a little reason to be pulling for some pleasant surprises.
Next up will be trying to arrange to get the complete set of prize items. If I can arrange to buy those early on at a reasonable priice (whatever that is) I'll be able to better enjoy venue play with this set.
Looking at the list you provided, I'm quite sad. I hope we get a bunch of great surprises, but my faith in WK is weak these days. I find myself looking to GG more and more. I've never gone into a release day (especially not for Marvel) with this much disappointment. Since I'm the type that gets a thrill up my leg going for the "high end" figures, looking at the selection of SR's and Chases is especially saddening due to bland choices.
I have all the chases, but if you PM me a have/want list I'd be happy to take a look at it, at least.
Actually Rob, I drove up to TRU after I posted and found the Wave 2 colossals sitting on the self!!! I bought all 3 of them!!! Thanks for thinking of me though. Now I just need the 3 Horsemen figures and my collection will be complete yet again!!!

That's cool! I still need Famine and Pestilence. I have War.
These don't seem to be as rare to find early on as the last ones were. That just means good things for the completionists. Hopefully somebody will buy my extra ones from me for my asking price before the market gets saturated. Not trying to neckbeard them, but if I can make a few bucks while being in this unemployed state, I'm going to try.

Hello again...and in making it back here from the work-filled weekend, I made it a point to read Rob's latest "Deep-Dish Theme."
In my case, it offers some extra benefits. I don't read comic books -- as many or as often -- as I once did. I try to pick my spots in checking out a particular storyline and even when I do, it's usually from DC.
That said...I really enjoyed being able, as a Realms reader, to reap the benefits from all the thought and effort that obviously went into this piece focusing on a certain storyline --- one that I knew practically nothing about (though, ironically, I have the Planet Hulk event dial that was awarded to me as a fellowship prize).
As a clix player who has shown little regard or desire to acquire generics until recently, I found it especially helpful and interesting the way that Rob chose to present a blend of older stuff, including generics (Brood, Miek, Korg) sharing the common keyword ("Warbound"), with pieces due to be released.
Hearty congrats, Rob, on a great job of providing some very helpful information and presenting it in a way that's definitely reader-friendly, even to someone unfamiliar with the storyline.
As I would have guessed, I definitely came away from your article a bit smarter than before I started reading, thanks to you!
Tim Burton was right: "A square jaw does not a Batman make." Steve Buscemi as the next Batman! Luke Perry as Joker! Let's make it happen!

Planet Hulk is a great story. You can't go wrong reading that one. World War Hulk was alright until the very end and even that wasn't as bad as people say. Skaar is a character that I feel had so much potential that they just never accomplished. I had seen him as a way for Marvel to have another version of Conan. Conan being a title Joephisto wished they hadn't sold off I thought it was what they were going for. I like the character but it just seems weird to me how they've handled him.
