I played this team earlier tonight and it did pretty well...
SM055 Superman + Kryptonian ATA
SM017 Superboy
IH208 General Thunderbolt Ross
Gamma Bomb
I have thought about this team as well... I would replace the Gamma bomb with Time Soul and Reality IG on Superman... Maybe Space instead of one of them....
This way Superman has an additional defensive ability. As well as indom to help get him to #2. With space he has an 11 move HSS with 4 range then 10 range outwit.
Still a lot of finesse but I think it would work well .

Yeah, I am super confused by your post. The figures total 287, which is not enough space to include the gauntlet (15 pts minimum). Not to mention that a gauntlet with three gems on it does not provide indomitable, you need all 6 for that. But other than those things, yeah it would be nice for E-1 Superman to have indom, higher range, and super senses. Perhaps I misunderstood what you meant.
If I had space on this team, Superboy would be a better guantlet wielder than E-1 Superman anyway, since Superman is basically a suicide bomber on this team, designed to cripple the opposing team and allow Superboy to mop up (with his convenient +1 stats from Superman dying). It is always a possibility to land on those HSS clicks at the end though (especially since many people are not familiar with the dial and you can position it so they have to hit you onto them with some luck), and then go crazy smashing with penetrating objects.
Honestly, the team is more flexible than it seems, and can win against basically any type of opponent. The main problem is it is very easy to set everything up as well as possible, then just miss a few crucial attack rolls causing you to lose spectacularly. If you are clever you almost always get first strike with E-1 Supes, and you need to roll either a 6 or 7 (on average). If you do, winning is super easy, but if you miss and are then in a bad position that allows Supes to get taken down in one turn, you are in big trouble.
Because of that, my main question is if a figure with prob control or a cheap tertiary attacker would be better than Thunderbolt Ross. I did go overboard on the bombing to try and make sure the team doesn't lose to turtling/gauntlet BS. Perhaps Gamma Bomb is good enough. Tell me what you guys think.

The new Venom con exclusive has me so excited. I love the story and I think it is prime for meta gaming. With a full IG he could move out 16 spaces on his first turn. Now if only he could shoot afterwords. Enter GG Moleman. Because Venom is a monster he could be mind controlled to move out 16 spaces then double shot for 6 more squares. Or Power Gem even. That's 22 squares of threat range. Yes this can leave him wide open for a counter attack, but hopefully after turn one you will have Stealth, SS, and SC to help keep him safe.
The rest of the team is important as well. I was thinking Enchantress for her TK Prob Mystics.
It is certainly not the best team in the world but with the right player it could be really really awesome.
Was thinking of something similar to the Stranger type builds but with more pieces.
Put the IG on Res Skull and turtle. I fall it the turtle factory. Building a doomsday device and turning the IG.
What do you think? I feel it can be played very defensively. Steel is there to Drop the hammer if needed and it's a scientist themed team. You have 3-4 barriers and tons of ranged damage potential with the klaw and aim renegades and red skull when he's up to full power.
After Odin chase with gauntlet won Origins I have been play-testing him and he is impressive. I've had him beat a 300pt Galactus and after that a 300pt. Ziran.

In how many matches against each other? How many times did Ziran and Galactus beat him?

Zero times. Odin beat Ziran once and Odin beat Galactus once. Not statistically amazing I know but in neither case did Odin really roll great or anything, nor did he get super high in the gauntlet dial.

I dont know if this has been mentioned in this long thread yet:
