Went into it with 0 expectations. Well, that's not true really, went in expecting it to be horrible. It wasn't half bad really. Not a cinematic masterpiece by any means, but not total garbage either.
I think it would have stood up better if it didn't have the original (and all of the subsequent knockoffs) to compare to.
I have a hard time objectively rating them as,while it's nice to see the characters and their respective corners of the bigger MU realized onscreen, there's so many other storylines I'd rather have seen. Plus I just don't care for Iron Man or The Hulk, who both got too much screen time in Avengers for my liking, understandable though as RDJ is the biggest draw & Hulk needed to be reintroduced proper with Ruffalo being the new Banner.
Unbiased,I'd rate them in this order with my personal preference in parentheses
Iron Man (6)
Avengers (2)
Cap 2 (3)
Thor (1)
Thor 2 (4)
Cap (5)
IM 2 (7)
Hulk (8)
IM 3 (9)
not reading spoilers, but that gives me an idea, though I can't believe you'd rank Hulk so low (it was way better than any Thor film).
So you think Cap 2 is middle of the road eh? Thats fair. I just rewatched Thor 2 last night and it was very 6/10 fun but forgetable. I'm hoping I like Cap more (I know I will just because I love Cap n Falcon so much). I really do hope it's better than Thor 2, or Iron Man 3 for that matter (it can't be worse than Iron Man 3, can it?)

If I'm not invested in the character then I'm unlikely to sit through repeated viewings. While I didn't care for the Thor films overall I was curious to see how he translated to the big screen and while I would have made completely different films myself I still skim through the films now and again, something I haven't done with The Hulk or Iron Man films.
My favourite super-heroes tend to be super, not @$$holes or misunderstood. My dad wasn't someone I particularly wanted to emulate,(not that he's a bad person), and, besides running,I didn't much care for sports growing up so I leaned towards the (Marvel) heroes who aspired to being all they could be and who were unwavering in their support of the little man.
Again,Cap 2 is in the upper echelon of Marvel movies and if they carry on in this vein I will be very happy,it's just all the reviews I've read liken it to something it's not, probably due to the people in charge not wanting to preach and/or be content to sit on the fence regarding political issues.
If you're a fan,you'll love it.

I just can't bring myself to see 300:RoaE since I saw the history channel doc. about the real battle of Thermopylae. Which basically tells us that this film should've taken place AT THE SAME TIME Leonidas was defending the pass of Thermopylae. The Spartan navy was essential in Leonidas's defense as the Spartan navy prevented the Persians from resupplying it's troops, prevented the Persians sending more troops to the main land, and it prevented the Persians from using their ship's weapons on Leonidas's position.

The movie does take place at the same time
Trade to Canada. We're friendly, and we love Beavers..........
Got done watching Anchorman 2. Hit and miss overall, but the anchorman rumble at the end was definitely one of the best parts. And it was looooong. They could have easily trimmed a half hour or so out of this movie and it would not have been that different.
