I was playing Rock Band with some nerdy friends, and we were performing the song. I sang the first verse like normal and then threw in the Firefly lyrics. They really liked it.

I've had less interaction with Great Danes but I always thought they were galoots too.

The Akita breed oughta be ranked higher. They've always seemed pretty vicious when I've encountered them.

It was the Easter Egg thread. Somebody gave me REP for a comment in it, and when I looked at the comments/thread, it was like 6 months old. The guy who was giving out the REP made a comment in it, so I have no doubt that one of our diligent moderators saw that it had been necro'd, and deleted it.

What sucks is that the thread had some easter eggs that I hadn't looked up yet, and it was a logical thread to keep up forever, since easter eggs are likely to continue into the future, or old ones be found, etc. One of these days man, its gonna be 1985 Tottenham up in here.

It would make more sense to me if it hadn't been a thread that was about sets and maps that span the entire life of heroclix. Want to shut down a necro'd trade thread from last year, or a strategy thread about using Omega Red in that Mutations and Monsters sealed booster release tourney last night? Great. Shut 'em down. But that thread?! really?

Though for all I know, he, or others, could have been taking the thread down a bad road or something between the time I noticed the rep and when the thread got deep sixed.

I find the Necro rule to be, for the most part, annoying and obnoxious.

An overwhelming majority of the threads that I see get the ax because of it are being added to in a significant way. Yeah, I've seen a few where someone necros them just to be a dink, but people get quite nasty around here if you start a thread that's a copy of one that exists.

Seems like Catch 22 to me.

I think threads can have long lives and have it not be a problem.

Unfortunately yes. That's really obnoxious. There's some kind of important information just laying around in threads around here, and it's not to know that any of it could be deleted at the drop of a hat.
