So why don't you give us some info instead of stringing along the phase?

There is definitely a "Cult" or a "Ghost Write"with the "Techno Virus".
Just addressing your questions on previous games:
Red and Scion are likely NPCs... they were characters in previous games, and escaped into this new universe at the end of Hybridity X. People often reprise their roles; however, as the title "Brave New World" indicates, this seems to be a pretty fresh start so I'd be surprised if either was a PC.
And the Techno Virus has made an appearance before... I forget which game though (it was before I started). If I remember it wasn't a cult, it was more of an alternate victory condition - that's not too say it couldn't be cult here, but a cult and two mafias does seem like a lot (even for Mr Stranger ).

I don't have good feeling about Michigan's alignment and am willing to not pay the Fridge ransom again.
Regardless of Brainiac's ridiculous posting so far this game, I want to do this...
Vote JoH
I think Red and Scion are NPCs. Stranger typically has a few NPC to help facilitate his story write-ups. I'm trying to remember if we've seen characters appear that frequently that weren't NPCs.
I'm not 100% sure the techno-virus is a cult. I'm actually more willing to believe it's a bluff/ghostwrite... but the way it's worked into the write-up, I'm not so sure (although I could see the Reporter mafia having some sort of write-up manipulation).
Other than that I think we're on the same page. I'd be willing to vote for JoH, I'm generally curious as to what Brainiac has been doing with his night actions however.

2. I don't know what the whole Rokk and JoH thing is about. Something about taxes and tiger masks. Wouldn't be suprised if JoH and Rokk were trying to pull something over us. Wouldn't be the first time :P :P :P
Good call on possibly being a guide. My brain jumped straight to Vig, didn't even really entertain other options.
The Rokk/JoH thing: Rokk claimed that he had his taxes raised by Fisk, and that his actions were more expensive because of it. Later in the phase JoH claimed he could lower someone's action cost by 20%. They went back and forth for a bit... and then JoH gave the discount to Nifty (or it at least appeared that he did).
Red and Scion very likely NPCs since Stranger wanted new characters, but not impossible that they player characters for players who not make character requests.
I don't like leaving an open offer like that dangling, but I really do have to go. Wargleblargle.
On the bright side, I get to play a dwarven fighter with a horrific Southern accent (so sick of the Scottish/Irish Dwarf trope.)
Aww, what's wrong with it. A Scottish-Canadian-Jamaican dwarf with a drinking problem is fun. Sorry, had to quote this as it was too funny.
Anyhow, catch-up thoughts.
-I'd say Grinner was indeed the Vig and was double-tapping on Nifty but the HCPD got to Nifty first. That leaves the question of the other mafia kill. One thought is a delayed daykill when the boss had pictures of the cops taken. No one is dying so seeing one of them get arrested at the end of the day would make sense.
-I can never read JoH but the pressure on him and brainiac does make sense.
-If we need new pressure, mich and logan both pinged me on a read-through. logan for not paying attention. Carelessness warrants attention. mich seems to be trying to appear good, but keeps asking which way we're going, as if he'll just go along or not. And Red and Scion, their real names would fit with what the working mafia themes are. Calling them NPCs seems like a blatant attempt to distract. At best, they're NPCs acting under orders from the Don who uses henchmen to do his dirty work.
Pressure is even right now. I'm leaning slightly toward:
vote: brainiac
JoH at least corroborated power with Nifty. Awfully dumb to out himself if he's scum. It doesn't mean much to me one way or the other.
Also if you're in the fridge, speak up. It makes a difference as to whether folks are likely to help you.
Considering the general lower energy participation today (I know, still early, and some posters don't get going until after hours), might be worth flipping to one or the other for the time being.

I have the same thought on Mich, which is why I might not want him out of the fridge.
