Thanks for saving me, mafia! Wondering why he targeted me though...
For both of the plurality voting games, you had an active day 1, constantly shifting votes between people. in normal games, that is a pretty good scum indicator, but in this game it was using your vote well to pressure folks and see how they respond. It wasn't a crazy assumption that you might have been mafia.
BUT-- he wasn't looking for mafia, just anyone with a criminal tag.
Awesome game Fish, but clearly didn't shine to the level of Stranger Things as it was a bit of a stomp.
This is how this game went for me:
Day 1:
Active for me.
Day 2:
Mal: Hey Roy, how was your night (read between the lines: cause you know I might know someone who targeted you)?
Roy: I was targeted by Killgrave.
Mal: Vote SL.
Me: I am not Killgrave, I can confirm your targeting but I failed.
Mal: Nah you failed and claim you got a result, ergo, dirty liar.
Me: *insert clever joke about* "I sent in my action so I targeted him" vs. "if you didn't succeed you can't target".
BUT, I can double you tonight and prove I am town you know.
Mal: Let me go ahead and allege that "if you had just said 'oh, I'm so and so' without a power because you'd be off the hook as far as I'm concerned," even though when you claim so and so in a sec, I won't let you off the hook.
Gfish: " as a mod, I would provide tracking results even if the person tracked failed."
Me: If you wanted a name (and that would let me off the hook - ALLEGEDLY ) - why not just ask?
Me: I am Hope Shlottman *praying I guessed right as we did not know if she was the role in the game or not*
Mal: "Also, trying to figure out why Hope would be a doubler. That seems... weird, at least to me." Cause you know, even after you double me 12 times I am not ready to lift my foot off your throat since I broken clocked you.
Me: *Paraphrases* Hope's actual power name.
Kontrol: No that name makes no sense, I literally watched every show and your power as phrased (while truthfully claimed,) is a big fat liar, liar, pants on fire.
Me: Double Mal to corroborate my story that night.
Town Vig: Let me off Silver and not give him a chance to prove his claim (albeit fake, admittedly)
I couldn't make this stuff up if I tried.

I knew dang well that grizzz was a magnet, because we ended up targeting the same players. I figured he might be the Yancy Street Gang. Guess I was right to wait for him to claim for himself.

It was the SK that offed you, there was no real Vig in the game.
If you died, funny enough, they would have joined the mafia. The Warriors just needed the other gangs out of the way. Their story line was that they were framed for an intergang murder. Without any more gangs, they are officially mafia.
Since you were the last alive, it did not come up.
Ah, haha, that makes sense.

Oh, and I would have supported your lynch the next day anyway, since your doubling kept me from getting results.
Yeah which just goes to show how much of a crusade you were on against me.
I am not trying to take anything away from you or your play, I just wanted to illustrate how frustrating it was that even though I was answering every allegation timely, and as honestly as possible, I could not catch a break.
All credit goes to you and Kontrol for continuing to push on me. And yeah Kontrol, probably didn't play too neutral, but if you thought I was the SK, it makes some sense.

Ah thanks for pointing that out. I thought the SK couldn't make a kill and had to MC someone to make the kill on the following night for them? So the SK killed me through a mindcontrolled Roy (or was it Grizz that got MC'd N1)?

Neither, it was kontrol. Read the writeup if you haven't, your Death by Muppets is fantastic.

Pretty much, my thought process was, though Roy is saying he was mind controlled, I thought I was the one. Thus my hinting that he wasn't the only group in the game. But I also figured, if I get rid of Kilgrave, I would still be ok.
Hope seemed like a very likely fake claim given to Kilgrave since he controlled her in the series multiple times. I figured you were trying to hide in plain sight. Hope as a mafia safe claim never really crossed my mind until about an hour or two before the phase ended.
Great game to come back to, gfish. It's a ton of fun, I love the lynching mechanic being based on most votes after 24 hours rather than first majority, and the role investigating is clever as well.
Two thumbs up.
I love the mechanic as well. I think it takes a lot off the mod's shoulders as far as tracking votes periodically throughout the day. It's very low maintenance which I know I could use.

I had issue with your power claim because I was a partial doctor as well. In fact, I wanted to doctor myself the night I died, but gfish said no. So I dragged Roy. I made sure my own death got into the write-up. Ballacks.

It wasn't.
Trish (Quebbster) was visited by Grizzzz (The Warriors, Magnet) so she was pulled out of radio booth (where she was dragged by I_R (Clare)). Kilgrave recruits adamical (Pop). Gangs attack Luke Cage and fail. But here is the stick: Daredevil RTs Quebbster who basically everyone targets. If I make the write-up too obvious, then it is obvious whether or not Kilgrave / Mafia was attacking or not attacking Quebbs. Therefore, I tried to write it very vaguely. I think it worked.
It worked. Excellent game. A fair bit of luck with only 1 townie being dead, but looking over the potential roles and the actual composition; I feel the balance was definitely there.
I must reiterate that this style of game works well for a mod, especially if you have a regular time each day you can dedicate to tabulating actions, doing write-ups, etc... It makes me want to run a game. Maybe in a couple weeks when I'm not on mandatory overtime.
Personally, I am wondering if the unassigned role mechanic could work for an All Stars game... It might. I don't Think there is enough of a player base at the moment to test it though.
Yeah which just goes to show how much of a crusade you were on against me.
Oh, I wouldn't say Crusade... but really, it was a little sketchy that you were providing your powers, then you provided a name. And then your doubling allowed you to steal the results of what I found out, so that's not /exactly/ town-friendly.
Just saying, I did have some pretty decent evidence that you were not on the level, even after the tracking results. Crusade is a bit harsh.
