I stayed at a hotel this past weekend when i went to a wedding and the elevator maintenance certificate was last updated by a guy named Ben Dover...course it was written in pencil so...
Well the bank won't give me credit because i'm a bad risk and I don't pay my bills on time. So I have to work for what I have!
Well, I think part of the reason it may not be living up to the hype in your mind is because of how late you are watching it. It came out in 2011, and I think it's been very influential on television. So, you've seen the positive influence it wrought, as other shows have raised their level. In context, it was a game changer.

OK, i am going to continue watching it, I do like it, as does the wife.
The company I work for pretty much receives and forwards mail for a large number of companies. Because so many companies are connected to us, we get some crazy faxes. Here's one from today:
"To whom it concerns'
I have an idea to put less soap in the same size box, maybe even down to the size you get in motel rooms which isn't enough for a shower.
Make the soap hollow with the same curves that makes it fit in the same size box. That way we will still think we are getting a good deal on soap.
Use to be a bar of soap lasted a month and now you can't get a week out of them.
Don't think we don't notice what's going on with packaging. You could probably make more profit by making soap fit in a smaller box like it should fill."
There was no tinfoil hat in the fax in case you were wondering.

That is like my thing I try to explain to people about Jaws.
agreed.
I can watch it over and over and over......
Yes, but have you ever told someone who hadn't seen it but who has more modern examples of the genre to watch it? They tend to miss the greatness and say it's cliché, not realizing that it is only cliché because everyone since that movie has emulated it.

No.
But I do run into that when talking about John Carter.
