Not like he used to be, least not to me.

He puts out strike tiles when I fire a power. Other than that ... what's he doing for the team (that isn't being done better with other toons)

OML is apparently still one of the most used fivestars in the game, that's why he was in the Fan Favorites vault. I think he is used a lot by low level players - his healing factor makes him an excellent tank and while his match damage is lowish for a fivestar he does a lot more damage than the fourstars.

For various reasons, I might not get a Spidey 2099 from the release event. It's not the game's fault, but it does make me start to question the time requirements again...

I find getting the new cover to be tedious and time consuming.

Of all the new covers that have come along in my tenure Juggy seems to be the most important with Worthy Cap second. 2099 doesn't seem all that game changing so I am not going to cry about it.

He's just a personal favorite character. I agree, he's not so meta.

Hit 3million ISO today. I would gladly use some of that for more roster spots.

When I was at your stage of the game, I brought all of my 4*s up to level 120. I found that to be the point where. Could reliably win the LT in the DDQ. YMMV.
I would consider doing that, but I would say do it as you go rather than just doing whoever. Like, see who the required one is, and bring that one up to 120 (or your personal chosen soft cap).

Additionally, I think that you could benefit from champing all of those 3* characters you have sitting unchamped at 166. This will allow you to respec them to more optimal builds. In turn, that should help your ability to speed things up a bit in PVE.

I have been keeping the 3*s until they have 17 saved covers. 17 is that magic number that will net you the first 4* progression reward.

The winning the LT in DDQ is probably the most interesting and helpful. My soft cap is around 140 at the moment but I am only keeping my 3 most used 4*s at that cap; Juggy, Xavier, and Grocket. I am have Carnage there too. It just matters who I can abuse in a combo.

I imagine that at the time I splurge my CP I will have enough 4* covers that I can be set to complete most of the DDQ LTs

I didn't get a chance to post a lot, but I wanted to say I thought the Lost in Time event was superb. I really liked having boss battles, I think they really put the "puzzle" into Puzzle Quest.

Kaecilius is my favorite boss because it's not about how strong your team is, it's about how well you can finesse the board (my go to is all 3*s -- Wolverine, Loki, and Quicksilver). It's "puzzley"

Civil War was fun. I chose Cap and knew what was going on. Online and alliance chatter showed that they needed to message "you are choosing one boss" a little better. That said, neither Cap nor Iron Man are "puzzles". You just beat them up.

Doom is a dumb boss. And doesn't fit that well in an X-Men themed sub. I wish they'd have put Apocalypse in there and, if having Doom a part of this was important, make him a boss node over in the main event. Apoc is my second favorite "puzzle" in the game.

I'm up to where I have enough ISO to champ all 31 of the 5*'s I currently have at 13 covers. There are a few not there yet, but I would ideally like to be at the point where I can just champ them all and not worry about trying to complete any old ones.

I'm not sure I see the logic in waiting since you have the resources to do it. Like, if you were short of ISO, I could see waiting to get the most bang for your buck, but you probably have enough iso to just do them all and give them their optimal builds.
As best as I can tell, all of your 3*s are either champed or just need the 5K ISO to champ them. You have everyone at 13 covers.


It's a "free" LT every five days if you can do it.

If you don't mind sharing, what do you have in the way of CP and LTs?
I would recommend taking a strategy of going ahead and spending some of that CP on Classic Legends.
Every 100CP is going to get you five covers instead of four with Latest Legends. It doesn't sound like much, but it can add up.
Plus you have the added bonus of possibly rounding out the roster by snagging covers for the older 5*'s. Having them on the roster is going to pay off in the long run by opening up more nodes in PVE, thus more points possible.

I'm hoping for a decent, possible T20 finish in the Howard PVE to get more than one Worthy cover.
I've already scored one as a BH, so I'm up to 6 now (2/2/2). It would be nice to get that up to 8 (3/2/3), and then the next PVE progression would take that to 9 (3/2/4). I'm guessing that the next 4* release is going to require Worthy @10, so it would be nice to be that close by then.
I held off of jumping into my slice until late last night, right after a flip.
Got in at #61. After my clears I was sitting at #13.
I am hoping that the late start weeded out a few of the more optimized players who hopefully jumped into earlier brackets.

Given that the next release is likely to be a 5*, there's a chance that they will skip Cap in the req's and we'll be stuck trying to scrounge up Miguel covers.

That is entirely possible.
They had been doing pretty good keeping things so that you actually had a reasonable opportunity to get the guy up to snuff, but then there were a bunch of rapid release 5*s that broke the pattern that had been going. In the process they skipped one of more of the recent 4*s which took us back to what we had with Hammond here.

The problem with skipping guys is obviously that it limits the opportunity to get to completion. Yet, it would be so easy to just keep it two back.
