Infernal Dragon... well I don't use it right now, but, due it's high attack it works fine with Burst Breath or Rope of Soul. It's not that easy to use, but of course it is worth putting on some kind of deck.
King Dragun is a good choice for a FHD deck. I use Dark Hexsealed fusion and Lord of D for King Dragun, and Dragon Mirror and Future Fusion for FHD. My deck is not all about FHD, but a Versatile Dragon Deck.
About running out of dragons, I still haven't experienced that yet. How many dragons do you have in your deck? And also, what kind of dragons do you send to the graveyard with Future Fusion? My sugestion is 2 Lv5+ dragon and 3 Lv4-, that way you keep the balance in drawing. I usually send to the graveyard Tyrant Dragons, Spear Dragons, Axe Dragonutes, and Armed Dragon Lv 3 when I got Lv5 on my hand/field/graveyard.
Well I use three masked dragons, three troop dragons, three lusters, three spears, three explodong, two mirage and one twin.
What usually happens is that is ram masked dragon to get his effect for troop or another masked and then i use future fusion . In the end I tend to run out of monsters.
I was thinkning of adding more dragons like dragon dwelling in the cave for defense purposes.
Second, I think your deck is too fast for Future Fusion. Playing Masked Dragon and Troop Dragon, it's like nitro. When you want to play Future Fusion obviously you won't have dragons on your deck. Maybe cut the Future Fusion and add more Dragon's Mirrors, because at the end, your dragons will be in the graveyard quickly. Also, 19 dragons, I think it's too much, you've got to have a really good balance in Spell and Trap effect to run a deck with 19 dragons. I play with 15 dragons and they do really excelent. I used to play with only dragons (20 monsters) but that never really worked.
A FHD deck, on my point of view, has to be a more agresive deck, trying to lead the effects of your opponent to other monsters, so when FHD comes to the field you won't have to worry about traps and stuff. Personally, that's why I don't play Dragon Troops anymore.
Exploder Dragon, on the other hand, reads like this:
When this card is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard, destroy the monster that destroyed it. While this card is attacking, any Battle Damage either player takes from a battle involving this card becomes 0.
It's a 3 star 1000 attacker with 0 defense with the above effect.
Try using axe dragonute if you have it (it's only out in Japan & Asia as of date, it should be released in the new curse of darkness structure deck along with all the other virus cards in the US next year I think).
Combo it with Deck Devastation Virus or Final Assualt Orders. That should kill of most of the pesky low stats effect monsters. Especially good against the solar flare dragons combo (provided their atk is 1500 and below).
Axe Dragonute has 2000 atk & 1200 def, lvl 4 dargon monster. It turns to def mode after attacking.
Tried a tested to be quite good for a good beatdown deck.
Yep, Axe Dragonute is very usefull, it beats 1900 atk monsters, and with 1200 def it provides some medium defense. At first i thought of putting Spear Dragon out and include Axe Dragonute in, but Spear Dragon's effect still gives nice advantage against low def - filp effect monsters, since it reduces opponent's LPs.
Hey guys!!! Whats UP!!
It's been a while since anyone has posted anything in this thread but I come with goos news!! I think that most of u know already but a new structure deck is coming out wich is all about dragons. There's this new dragon that that can only be special summoned when its send from the field to the grave yard. Has anyone else heard anything about this?
Felgrand Dragon, it's been all over the threads talking about SD13. I'd put a link to some info from outside sources, but it's against the rules, and I'm too lazy to post the link for the thread. Someone help this guy out.
dragon decks are a bad idea...PERIOD...although they are powerful(dont get me wrong) they cannot get the job done alone, YOU NEED YOUR BASE CARDS(exiled, mole, breaker, ect.)... you have to take one of those powerful dragons and revolve the deck around it....like a horus deck, a armed dragon deck... a 5 head strategy, or a cyber dark dragon deck...
Maybe in the past... But now there are good effects for Dragon monsters. You can build a versatile dragon deck, but they are still weak against Burn decks. My newest deck has nothing but Dragon monsters.
