Not picking on you, specifically...just that your post was there and easy to quote - though maybe as a Mod I should expect more from you - but....God, what is with the cynicism on the Realms? Everyone expects folks to just instantly have a small photo studio handy with them? (And, yes, I know phones pack cameras but, if you're like me, you don't have apps to make them take decent pics and then people -still- complain about the quality...or what about the time/opportunity/knowledge of transferring over pics)?
This is a set based around a character who's meant to inspire people to be the best they can be - to be Supermen/women, even if they don't have powers...to set their feet on the ground and say, "I'm making my spot of the world a better place and hoping it serves as an example to my neighbour and together we inspire others down the line until everyone strives to make even just the few feet around them a little better." Yet we greet info on it with instant suspicion, sarcasm, etc.?
Really, how often do "big hoaxes" - that aren't almost instantly shot down - really happen here on the Realms anymore? Yet everyone acts so darned paranoid and mistrusting of their neighbour Realms members.
I think a lot of the doubt surrounding this particular piece is due to people hoping the last chase would be something much better (like Red Son).
As it stands this fig is pretty disappointing.
*****Warning. Almost 20 year old comic spoiler alert!******
I'm guessing the steal energy represents him absorbing the kryptonite blast from Cyborg Superman which was altered by the Eradicator to restore Superman to his full power.
Not as disappointing of a figure as I am disappointed its -not- Red Son. I was hoping for Red Son a lot but honestly the figure is a cool idea, and I really like the fact that when it comes back to life you got the chance of bringing it back to full power. Such is life though.
for those wanting to know his steal energy power is called:Absorbing residual matrix energy
No pics? Cellphone, Ipod, anything with a mediocre camera? I am dying to see the sculpt... Since it's unlikely I'd pull it since I only care about him and SOD Superman and will end up pulling Earth 1 Superman.
"This is THE WORLD! Not that you would be able to see it or even feel it, since time has stopped..." Need Batman-family clix

A page back - not a very large pic but gives you an idea.
@T-Rez: I realize some of its' disappointment but it's just a pervasive attitude all across the Realms. Check out the Hulk Poster thread where, being the guy only had -some- of the poster, someone said that still qualified as "trolling" (i.e. - because he got people excited but only had about half the set's names ).
"Nobody important? That's amazing. You know, in 900 years of traveling time and space I've never met someone who wasn't important."

Hey now, I've always maintained the stance that if superpowers were real, I'd most likely be a super-villian as oppossed to a super-hero!
I'm fairly certain that 90% of people would as well...

Most any first reveals are usually greeted with "no pics or it didn't happen". I don't think I actually saw that said at all this time. In fact, I think srtfreak was treated very respectfully, and everyone seemed happy to see the dial. Myself, I said that the dial looked unique but reasonable, didn't think it a fraud, and asked for pictures please. But i still took it with a grain of salt. I don't know srtfreak, so didn't know that it was real, but didn't accuse. Perhaps there are other people on Realms who DO know him, so I thought the acceptance might be based on that.
That said, your reply above is very well said and inspiring, but we all know there are lot of people out there who get great pleasure from fooling as many people as possible. It didn't cost us anything to believe what we were told, and I enjoyed it as much as anyone. Hostile suspision and sarcasm are usually not warranted, especially when the poster seems as straightforward and reasonable as srtfreak. But a little skepticism only seems reasonable. I don't mean attacks, but reasonable skepticism.
