Isn't Nova pretty weak in the comics?

They pushed the point of how powerful Nova Prime was in the book, I'd like him to at least be worth his points, if not a huge tentpole himself.

I think the nerdrage over FF Nova is a tad hyperexaggerated myself, but that's just me.

My comment above was not in reference to your own, it just had the happy coincidence of following your post.

I think "suck" is a bit of an exaggeration in of itself, but to each his own. I am content to disagree.

Nova wasn't around for that.

It's easy to overlook that perplex he has. The short dial and phasing upfront kinda hurts but I don't thinks he's terrible. Plus the shorter dials seem to be the way things are going so he won't be the only fig to not feel like he's quite worth it.

I agree with the Perplex and Phasing/Teleport. I don't think he's terrible. I can understand that he's not what folks were hoping for but personally I like having options available for team building.

EDIT: The dude who blew himself up was Nitro, Wade. Same dude responsible for Mar-Vell's cancer.

It's not the shortness of the dial that bugs me, nor even the phasing. It's the stats. Yeah, you can bump them, but with a 3 damage he will often be bumping *that*, leaving him with a weak AV for his points. If he had some other standout things-- a click of IMP, a higher D, Indom-- I might feel differently. but it's a very vanilla dial overall.

And that's the crux of it for me as far as most of the "complaints" go.

"Now what I would have wanted" does to equate to "suck". It's far too broad and subjective IMO.

"Bad for the points" would though. And he's an option for teambuilding, but an inefficient option.

They can't all be winners, but that doesn't mean we can't call out the losers as such.
