His troop was going on a hiking trip. The goal was to reach 1,000 feet. A member of his troop, Chris, has Cerebral Palsy (that's left the left side of him a bit weak). On the hike, the plan was to get everyone so far and then let the more able hikers go on. My nephew decided that he was going to help Chris. The original plan was to take Chis back at the half way point but with Mitch encouraging him, he was determined to make it to 1,000 feet. And made it he did. But making it to 1,000 feet isn't what Chris was most excited about. All the way back, Chris didn't care about what he had overcome physically. He couldn't stop telling his dad how excited he was to have made a friend.

Needless to say, I'm pretty proud of my nephew.

Great story... Mitch is already 10 times better than most of us here.
