Has anyone here ever tried to throw a discus?

Once in middle school. Now that I am older and after a car accident I can throw my discus out and be laid out for a good while.

It's actually the sport that I've had the most success in. I came close to tying the school record at my high school. There was a kid at another school in my area at the same time that usually beat me, though. He did break a few records and even won at the state level, if I remember correctly.

My brother got hit in the head by a shot put once.
When my mom got to the hospital she got hit in the face by their automatic doors and had to be admitted for stitches herself.

As for discus, I have thrown it, but I never was very good.
My varsity sport was rifle, marksmanship and shooting, not the twirly dance rifle stuff.

I've never thrown a discus, but I have been hit in the face by an automatic door.

What's the worst song to have stuck in your head?

Blurred Lines, hands down. Sure it's catchy, yeah, whatever. No amount of catchiness can excuse a song about rape. It is the least okay song I can think of!

For what it is worth, I consider myself to be a supervillain called The Earworm with the power to get songs stuck in people's heads, so I'm somewhat of an expert in this field.

I think Baby Shark is pretty ####ing annoying as an earworm, though now that 500 Miles gets mentioned, that one does stick out as a problem several times.

I used to get Tiny Dancer in my head quite often, but I am usually okay with that one. They only bug me if I don't like it that much.
