How 'bout comboing summoner of illusions with king dragun.
Flip summon summoner to summon king dragun from fusion deck. King dragun would negate the self destruct effect by summoner. And hey, you got it 2400 atk beatstick with an excellent defensive effect to back.
Or use decoy dragon to summon some beyond god-like lvl 7+ dragon monster from your graveyard, like felgrand dragon.
Dragons like felgrand dragon would make good discard artillery shells for the armed dragon series.

Except that Felgrand Dragon can only be special summoned from the graveyard and ONLY if he got there from the field:
Quote
This monster cannot be Special Summoned except from the Graveyard, and only if it was sent there from the field. When this card is Special Summoned, select 1 monster in your Graveyard. This cards gains ATK equal to the Level of that monster x 200
You can't just drop him with an effect and bring him back. In a way, he's just like the Gemini Monsters, only even harder to get his effect to work. You have to summon him twice but he isn't already on the field for the second summon.
I like your idea with King Dragun but there is a flaw with that too:
Quote
As long as this card remains face-up on the field, your opponent cannot target Dragon-Type monster for the effect of a Spell, Trap, or Monster Card. Once per turn, you can Special Summon 1 Dragon-Type monster from your hand to your side of the field.
King Dragun doesn't negate Summoner of Illusions. Sorry to shoot down your ideas but I don't want you to try something you can't do when your playing a game.
Dragons like felgrand dragon would make good discard artillery shells for the armed dragon series.
Except that Felgrand can't be special summoned from the grave unless it was sent there from the field. If you just discard it, then it sits in the grave until you can get it back to your hand somehow.
Paladin of White Dragon
Attribute: LIGHT
Level: 4
Attack: 1900
Defense: 1200
Card Text:
This monster can only be Ritual Summoned with the Ritual Spell Card, "White Dragon Ritual." You must also offer monsters whose total Level Stars equal 4 or more as a Tribute from the field or your hand. When this monster attacks a face-down Defense Position monster, destroy the face-down monster immediately with this card's effect without flipping it face-up or damage calculation. You can Special Summon 1 "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" from your hand or your Deck by offering this card as a Tribute during your Main Phase. (Blue-Eyes White Dragon cannot attack during that turn.)
While still a strong card in its own right, Paladin is usually used for bringing out Blue-Eyes. It adds great speed and deck thinning to Blue-Eyes decks, especially when used with Manju Of The Ten Thousand hands to bring it out faster. With Paladin in your deck, it is entirely possible to bring out 3 Blue-Eyes White Dragons in just 1 turn, which could prove deadly once the Ultimate Dragon is released in english.
Its been out for like what two years now?
Just letting you know so you can fix that.
Obviously, there has been quite a bit oh hype for the last month regarding the new card coming to the TCG Van'Dalgyon the Dark Dragon Lord. The article on the front page can inform you about his effect if you haven't heard it yet, or if you are just too lasy to click the mouse a few times...
English: Van'Dalgyon the Dark Dragon Lord
Japanese: 冥王竜ヴァンダルギオン
Translated: Dark King Dragon - Vandorgaron
Alternate: Dark Ruler Vandalgyon
Card Attribute: Dark
Card Type(s): Dragon/Effect
Level: 8
ATK/DEF: 2800/2500
Card Effect Type(s): Trigger/Multi-Trigger
Card Lore: When a card that your opponent activates is negated by a Counter Trap Card, you may Special Summon this card from your hand. When this card is Special Summoned by this effect, depending on the type of the card negated, use one of the following effects:
● Spell: Inflict 1500 points of damage to your opponent.
● Trap: Select and destroy 1 card your opponent controls.
● Effect Monster: Select 1 monster in your Graveyard and Special Summon it.
Now the most obvious use of this card is in counter fairy decks, where counter traps consist of basically half the deck, giving this little dragon plenty of chances to be special summoned. Despite it being a DARK/Dragon type monster, the fairy's just love to hang around this guy. But there are plenty of reasons to have this guy support his homeland, the dragons.
The one reason I very much would like to see this guy in a Dragon build is because he fits in with current dragon tactics just fine. First off, he's Trade-In friendly, is a dragon type (duh), which adds another target for our little dragon friend, Decoy Dragon, and a Dragon deck will naturally run counter-traps do protect those behemoths from destructive cards like lightning vortex. Plus, he can set up easily for an OTK. Activate Divine Wrath, pitching a strong dragon to the grave, Special Summon Van'Dalgyon, use his effect to reborn the discarded dragon (or a Foolish Burial target, like DMoC if you run him), and next turn you have at least 5000 attack points under your control... and you haven't even summoned on your tun yet. And with a dragon deck, pushing for damage and bringing big guys out is something it does with ease. This guy will see play in plenty of places other than counter fairies, and it's obvious i'm not the only one excited about it's arrival.
Chrome ghost thats freakink sweet!!! but What do u think a dragon deck should run with such a heavy hitters out there. For example we have light and Dark Dragon, Tyrant and of course The dragon lord. With such a high level of dragon monsters should we be trying too abuse the effect of decoy dragon? and do u think any of this dragons will get limited or banned?

I really wouldn't try to use LADD with Decoy dragon if I were you ...

LOL!! Yeah I know, but you can still use him with trade in. well right now I'm running three tyrants and one LADD. That's four high level monsters with a dragon deck that's not really fast. I use morphine jar, future fusion and divine wrath to get my high level dragons to the grave yard. but is LADD worth playing or should I focus on using VADR?
Aren't we all forgetting about Super Rejuvination. It could be a nice draw engine if used correctly.
I dont know, it only works on monsters you tributed right? So would it work with dragpns mirror?
Hey also on Tuesday I'm going to play a friend against his Fairy/VGDL ( the counter trap card dragon ) deck, and usually he always has me go against all types of decks and I end up mostly kicking his buut just using my dragon deck. Well this time he went mad and bought three dark bribes, three VGDL and another monster wich is a fairy but has a very similar effect like VGDL, but I don't remember the name. Well I'm kind of worried this time because he has all of this counter trap cards like force back and solemn judgment. He has ten counter trap cards in total and I think I might get my butt kicked. Can anyone give me advice on dealing with this counter fairy deck? I have already thought of using royal decree and counter counter. Hopefully later on I will post my dragon deck so u guys can give me some advice.

Dragons discarded from the hard and tributed from the field count, so it's a no go on Dragon's Mirror.
And against a deck with many counter traps, those ideas are fine, but if they spring up on you without that Royal Decree, then what I hope to do is be able to go first, establish field presence, then special summon the majority of the game.
So has anyone pulled the new dragon from the new pack?
It's called
Prime Material Dragon
Any effect that would inflict damage to a player instead increases their Life Points by the same amount. When a card's effect to destroy a monster(s) on the field is activated, you can send 1 card from your hand to the Graveyard to negate its activation and destroy the card.
What do u guys think?
