Frankly this whole "Going to a convention is expensive so getting the figure on the secondary market" meme is a load of bunk. If you didn't get $35 dollars worth of fun at a convention that is your bad hang. Don't try and figure it into the cost of a Galactus. Anyways the real question to me is how much would this cost me if it was in the store? Certainly less than $146.75. Probably less than $75 when you take into account the economies of scale.
The reality of this is that Wizkids is just trying to create artifical scarcity in order to lure in speculators.
hey im the first one to admit i woudl have liked to pay less for galactus. but the "fact" remains i did spend more. and wizkids DID charge more. ok i may have used the word fact loosly before so let me try again
FACT: to get galactus you had two choices convention or secondary market
FACT:i dont know about other cons but at WWLA a 3 day pass was $35 a person. i bought two(one for me one for my wife/friend/brotehr inlaw)
FACT:the reason i went to wwla was galactus.
FACT: at wwla i spent 15 minutes walking around on preview night (2 hours in line)
FACT: at wwla sat i spent 16+ hours in line(which we were not alowed to leave or we would lose our spot. and 1 hour playing clix. i didnt see: stan lee, rebecca romaine or the punisher cast, david caridine, joel quesada(?) or any other guests. i saw kevin smith walk by us in line.
FACT:galactus did cost $75
FACT: in total just to get galactus i spent $100 and lots of time.
im not saying wizkids couldnt have done it better i just think that you made a choice(thats a fact) you decided it was not worth it to trek out to a con and buy galactus. so your only other option right now to get him is to pay $150 dollars on ebay. if i were youd id look at that extra $75 as paying to not have to wait in line, paying to not have to enter a lottery, paying to not have to drive or fly however many miles away your nearest con was. had i to do it over i woudl have just got him on ebay. besides that if the only reason your not buying him is you think hes over priced, i tell you what in my book hes worth more than $150 hes that good of a sculpt and playing figure! im not trying to be a jerk man im just telling you let it go, shell out what you have to to get him and enjoy him cus i knwo you will!
Carl : I'm gonna give this rainbow thing another five minutes... and if it don't show up, I'm going down to the store and I'm buyin' a Hot Rod magazine.

I have to say though that it was not from one of their representatives directly, but from the player who does the preview translations. He said he got this info from Arnfried, though. I suppose you know who I mean..

And on a different note...
I turned into a Con junkie the past two years so whether I got Galactus or not (I did) I still enjoyed WWE this year. I also enjoyed the Baltimore ComicCon which had no WK's representation since it is a minor Con. And I am heading out to my brother's crib for Thanksgiving and will be going to the Mid-Ohio Con while there. John Byrne will ALLEGEDLY making his LAST Convention appearance EVER. I hope to get all my Uncanny X-Men signed that he did back in the day.

Yup, I know Arnfried. Thanks, EmperorNorton. This is exceptionally helpful.

to be honest i really wanted to enjoy wwla. i walked around a little on friday night(preview night) and i saw alot of cool stuff i wanted to look at more. new comics, small vendors, new movie previews, the kid from teh never ending story. but alas my wife wasnt feeling good(as it turned out first stages of morning sickness) so we didnt stay long at all. anyway i dintget to enjoy it at all by the time i got the gman i was exausted from sitting and standing, frankly i just wanted to go home. next year will be different. they woudl have to offer a life sized anotomically correct emma frost clix for me to wait in that line again.
i would have gone back on sunday but i gave the tickets to my brother inlaw who did have fun.

Good Sir,
There are MANY things that don't affect people, but they still feel free to debate or complain about them ALL the time. It happens every single day here on the Realms. That's just the nature of the beast.
....now go log into a Christina Ricci fan site (or your own) and start getting pumped up!

Morning sickness-- I feel for you. I went through that with my soon-to-be-ex. Although, in hindsight, I think she just wanted to get home and leave me out and about so she could "be with" my so-called best friend.
Life-size Emma Frost clix? Yum, yum!!
I think you could have one made through Howard Stern. He did promotions awhile ago for those life-like dolls.
