"Characters that are removed from the battle map and placed on Feat cards are not affected by Battlefield Conditions."
Sooo...which is it? I see that hair10 himself said that Oracle is affected but that was a few months ago so was this an entry to the FAQ since then? That is my guess! Thanks to anyone who can clear it up!
but the designers have final say over the FAQs....(that's my understanding anyway, unless you know otherwise)
However, E Submariner proves that the FAQ does not equal original intent.
The rookie, veteran, and le all have Flurry, all the preview dials showed him to have flurry.
The factory screwed up the printing, and left the flurry off, and instead of fixing it, the FAQ said 'no he doesn't have it'. Meaning now you are paying points for powers you aren't getting and can't use. Making him over-costed, and a total fubar that WK is to lazy to fix.
The FAQ can also be seen as a way to fix something broken that WK didn't think about (see Mechwarrior's charge, a change designed to counteract one piece, yeah, one piece made them overhaul the rules for an entire game mechanic, and all the revisions to artillery they had to make, no pog stacking, no transport pick ups after firing, costing an extra order, then undoing changes, then putting them back, and then undoing, etc).
I mean, come on, Action vs Order has to be one of the most pedantic ways to mess with things ( I can use X if I do Y, but can't use Z if I do Y, but can use Z if I use D, but then can't use X, but can use D to do Y).
