Looks great!!! I just hope that my comic store will participate in FCBD again this year...

Nice sculpt. But it looks like the bat signal is being beamed onto is chest. It's almost as big as the logos The Gap put on their sweatshirts

I hope WK keeps this up with all future FCBD. A rookies from a future set seems like an awesome idea.

Very nice. If they'd have shown this preview at the same time as the Batman/Wizard subscription offer, I don't think people would have freaked out quite so much.

It does look like the exact same gargoyle, doesn't it? Oh well, I was one of the people who really liked the rooftop gargoyles idea for Venom and Spidey too. Very cool sculpt.

Give DC guys one of the best looking pieces I've seen yet and they still find something to complain about .

We have had playable nonunique Batmen with acceptable sculpts.

A playable nonunique Superman with a sculpt that doesn't make you shudder is something to get excited about.

So I second the motion of showing us Icons Superman.

(I agree with azs' comment on the photoshopped bat symbol.

But even that is good news, it means that the symbol will be a decal a la Superboy and Ultraman rather than part of the sculpt like HT Superman and Batman

I was leary about a DC set, thinking they were just talking about new sculpts and dials.

But, dude, they are walking!

Nahhhhh, not complaining per se about the sculpt just the fact that we have yet anther Batman, even after the detective one........I'm a Superman-man and not a Batman-man, I'm just complaining (okay....whinnning) about Batman.....now if there IS a redo of Supes and a new dial with a sculpt that looks good.....doesn't have to be the greastest sculpt ever (got that with KC Supes IMHO) I'll be happy. Sorry......but Batman is like Wolverine to me now too popular and stripped mined to be liked.....

Speaking of Icons Superman, what point totals would you like to see?

I think something like 140/190/220 would be good.

exactly, and lets not forget that he can cover the symbol with the cape so it wouldt really stand out unless he wants it to.

Seriously though, this sculpt is amazing... I would have put the black on gold symbol on the Wizard exclusive (with the navy blue classic Seventies/Eighties Batman) and the plain black bat on this one (SWEET black 21st Century Batman). Just my opinion...

I would like to see a playable REV Superman with a similarly amazing sculpt...

I'd like to see a new Superman sculpt too, but I don't think that'll happen for a while.

If the set this is from isn't due out until the fall, then this specific one was probably rushed to production so it could be out in time for FCBD (and obviously to ride the coat tails of the batman movie buzz). We probably won't see any other figs from this set for a while. Especially since WK won't want to dilute the buzz for Fantastic Forces this summer by releasing too much info about Icons which isn't coming until the fall (according to that blurb.)


As for the Bat symbol, I agree, It's probably a decal, like on Mr. Terrific.
