If I recall properly, Hawk and Dove arose in the 1960s around all of the Pro War/Anti War sentiment in the USA regarding American involvement in Vietnam. "Hawks" were war supporting citizens, while "Doves" were the peace supporting citizens. These characters spawned from the new phrases to try and teach us that the balance lies with the combination of their powers... Too much "Hawk" muscle and brawn doesn't win the battle, but neither does too much "Dove".
There was an episode of Justice League: Unlimited which featured Hawk and Dove in a more modern setting.
The specifics about these characters escape me as to who and how many of each have been around.
I like the new Hawk and Dove. I hope they join so we can see more of their back story. They don't seem to like one another.
I like the new Speedy, she reminds me of Arrowette. Wish she took that name and not Speedy, oh well.
Superboy was done totally wrong in click form though. He should have Telekinesis. Heck, the way the power works in Heroclix is exactly how he uses his TK. They dropped the ball with him and with Impulse. No Phasing?
Life goes on, long after the thrill of living is gone.
Decent reviews... the spoilers and HIV comments have been covered, and I imagine those particular habits will change before your next posting.
One other comment:
From now on, please refrain from using words that are banned. I understand slipping infrequently, and accidents do happen, but try to edit them out before the final post. It's in poor taste, and there's no need for that for our younger readers. Other words could be substituted that are not banned, or have four letters. Try to spell out your words too. For front page articles, try to include not only avid/rabid heroclix players, but a 10 year old who just got interested in the game and reads your articles to hear about characters for the first time. An exaggerated example: The NW from TT's should have RCEW. A newb will find this hard to decipher. Otherwise, good info on the characters. Thanks for putting time and effort into "our" site.

This comment is unnessecary. No one has commented that hasn't given constructive criticism, or voicing a particular opinion. I, personally, was trying to help DC improve his column. While I don't usually care for him personally, I always read his columns, and comment when I feel something could be improved upon. OR TO SAY GREAT JOB WHEN ONE HAS BEEN DONE. I like the fact that he puts time into this site, as it is for the good of all heroclixers, newbs, fanboys/girls (Marvel AND DC). I appreciate that he, and the rest of our noted front pagers, apply themselves and give their time (and occasionally in DarkCrisis's case, comics) freely to us, the clixing masses.
If you don't care for someone sharing their opinion, or criticism, why don't YOU ignore them? Let DarkCrisis fight his own battles, he's been here for a long time, is an adult, and as you've probably seen, speaks for himself very well. Thank you for your UNconstructive criticism, and adding myself to your ignore list.

I'd like to echo this. Everything quoted above could just as easily come from my brain.
When I think an article is good, I say so. When I think an article has issues, I say so. The ultimate goal being selfish--I want the best site possible as a resource.
Dark Crisis can (and has) defended himself when necessary.
Thank you for your continued contributions, DC. I may have issues with what you write (or how) in some cases, but I very much appreciate the work you put in trying to add to the site's value for everyone.
I actually played a game today, and I used Arsenal. He had one contribution to the game: He took Vet Jinx off of her psy blast and Probability clicks. Then a Vet Blockbuster with Fortitude smashed his face into pulp with a motorcycle.
Hey I have a quick question. Does anyone know where I can get old Titan books? I'm talkin all the way back to new teen titans. Besides comic conventions I cant think of any.
Okay, first of all, on the subject of a cartoon Titans team. Use Red Robin as the "Nightwing" from Starfire's little trip to the future.
Secondly, the history of Hawk and Dove. Warning, may contain spoilers for people who have not read 20+-odd years of DC continuity.
The original Hawk and Dove were Hank and Don Hall, who were chosen by the Lords of Order and the Lords of Chaos to be their representatives on earth and to act as a balance between them. Hawk was Chaos, and all the war-like inclinations that went with it, and Dove was Order, and a devout pacifist. Tp the best of my knowledge, Hank and Don were the only incarnation ever actually IN the Titans.
Eventually, Don died, and Hank went a bit over the edge, getting progressively more violent and darker. The Lords of Order picked a new champion, Dawn Granger, who was a bit more liberal than her predecessor, and did her share of bad-guy beating.
Then, in 1991, in a truly brain-throbbing time travel storyline called Armageddon 2001, it was revealed that Monarch, a supervillain from the future who single-handedly wiped out Earth's superheroes and took over as absolute oppresive dictator, was actually our good friend Hank Hall. Monarch actually travelled back in time, killed Dawn in front of his younger self, driving his younger self insane. Young Hank then killed Monarch, and took over the mantle of Monarch for himself.
Fast forward several years, I think the story of Monarch finally ended in the pages of Extreme Justice, but I'm not sure. That series was cancelled so suddenly when Grant Morrison announced that he wanted to launch JLA that I've lost track of how many dangling plot threads never got resolved.
Then, several years ago, there was a new Hawk and Dove, with the traditional roles reversed. Hawk was a female army brat with a penchant for shooting first and asking questions later, and Dove was a male peace-loving Rock n' Roller. Their last reported sighting was in the big cameo-fest that was JLA/Titans: The Technis Imperitive.
Now I hear rumors that we're getting a new Hawk and Dove. Let's hope they do justice to the original.

Yeah, I'm still trying to figure out how to do a mod of him. I despised Danny Chase, but I liked the look of Phantasm and I think he'd work great on a Cosmic Boy dial.

Unfortunately, the Titans are woefully un-represented in trade paperbacks. Out of the entire run from when Wolfman & Perez started through the deluxe format's eventual painful death there are only two story-arcs collected as graphic novels. There are (I believe) two of the hardbound "classic" reprints, but I don't think that those even get as far as the first annual.
So unfortunately, currently the only way to get those stories is to get the actual back issues, be it at a convention, a comic store or online.
