On the discussion of a one on one battle, some other things to point out as well:
While it's true that Ares has Outwit on his first couple clicks, it's highly unlikely he'll ever get to use it and if he does, what does he Outwit?
RS? If so, then GL is obviously within line of sight to use RCE instead.
RCE? Then just RS for the 4 natural damage anyways.
Willpower? That will only matter if GL already has a token on him.
As for map type:
If it's Indoors, if Ares chooses to hide, just let GL blow down walls until there isn't anywhere to hide.
If it's Outdoors and Ares wants to hide on a rooftop or something, then GL can still RS, go into Soaring on his last RS movement and shoot Ares from 10 squares away that way....still out of Ares' range.
I don't mean to start something back up, but my friend and I were talking about this and these were some other situations that seem to still favor GL.
Sorry.

Ares has imperv. GL has willpower. That to me gives Ares the advantage. Ares picks up a desk and phases into base contact with GL and outwits his RCE. Now GL needs a 9 to hit Ares and even if he DOES hit Ares he has to break through his imperv. Even if he DOES break through his imperv he takes a click of damage and Ares still has a 13 AV. Now GL has a 19 DV and Ares needs a 6 to hit him for 4. He can choose to attempt to break away and running shot but that wouldn't do #### either. It would just put Ares on charge or GL would miss and still be in range of Ares and his 14 AV. At this point I think that it's safe to say that the game is over. I fail to see how GL has a chance in hell against Ares one on one.
