Hawkeye cursed under his breath, "%$&*! This is all more trouble than it's worth! Now that pesky Wasp is in my face again, too! My options are getting slim here."
The Vanisher fell silent for the moment, but took action wordlessly. He still displayed impressive speed for a fairly, old and injured bald man. He slipped around Constrictor, ran into the garage and appeared on Captain America's flank.
Constrictor needed a moment to recover from his attack on Captain America, while Yellowjacket had to catch her breath from being struck by a marvelous mystical mallet.
-----------------------------
I'll forego Vanisher's Leadership roll for this turn. He no longer has Phasing/Teleport, unfortunately, anyway.
Constrictor, Hawkeye and Yellowjacket clear.

Yeah, i finally got lucky last turn, although the two 7's i rolled weren't exceedingly lucky. If Thor had missed Yellowjacket!....
By the way, it's great that you do the faux olde English with Thor.
Do you know how the others generate colored text in their posts?
"Take this!" Wasp yelled as she blasted Constrictor straight in the face. It proved too much for him and he tumbled to the ground, his metal tentacles going limp and hitting with a thud. The effort proved exhausting for Wasp too, and she took aminute to recover.
"Disappear all you want. You won't win." Captain America said as he lunged for Vanisher. Vanisher proved too quick though and dodged both that blow and another piece of the shattered streetlight.
Meanwhile Wanda moved next to the Archer. "I can sense that you don't like this battle. Then why fight us?" she asked.
Thor, true to his nature just hefted his hammer once more and glared at Yellowjacket.
------------------------------------------
Wasp will push to attack Constrictor. 8 attack on a 12 Defense. Roll is (4,1). For a hit. 2 damage and a KO on Constrictor. Wasp finally took damage. She still has a 17 defense on her second click though.
Wanda free moves to P5. Next to Hawkeye and within sight of Cap.
Now the question is whether to have Cap go for Vanisher or play it safe. Playing it safe would be good, but this is Cap. He doesn't run away. I'll go for it. 4 Attack on a 13 Defense. Need 9 or better. Roll is (4,3) miss. Using PC: Reroll is (3,1). Darn.. Was hoping Cap could finish him. Guess not this round.

Was hoping to get both Vanisher and Constrictor this round, guess I'll have to settle for just one of them. I hope Vanisher doesn't actually KO Cap though. But I don't think he will. Cap's still got one more click. He'd need a crit to hit KO him in one hit.
Vanisher smirked as the attempts of the weakened experienced hero went awry, and then he wondered what was wrong with the lighting around the mansion. He thought this group had more resources to pay for better maintenance. He almost taunted Captain America, but thought better of it, remained silent and set his feet for his next move.
Yellowjacket finally tore her eyes off Thor and felt her survival instinct take over. She high-tailed it toward the supposed leader of their attack party, hoping that she might gain some cover from the presence of the few remaining villains.
Hawkeye watched with dismay as another of his nominal allies nearby was blasted right in the face and crumpled unconscious. He was aware that he could do nothing with his bow to the dark-haired woman at close range. "I really ought to practice some close combat techniques," he thought to himself. He began to turn and run in order to generate some distance for his forté of ranged combat, but something about the woman next to him made him stay. He had to think about her question: why fight them?....

Vanisher rolls for Leadership: 2 (oh well)
Hawkeye attempts to breakaway and rolls: 2 (darn) (could Wanda have PC'd that roll? i realize you didn't explicitly instruct that, but i'm wondering. I think you could've.)
Yellowjacket takes off and flies to L9
Vanisher clears

what did you mean by Cap playing it safe? breaking away?
Think the PC depends on the individual. If I don't leave instructions or receive instructions for PC then I don't expect my opponent to use my PC, and he shouldn't expect me to use his.
"Get back here woman!" Thor said as he hefted Mjolnir and flew after her.
"Arms nearly numb..." Cap thought to himself.. "But I must press on" With that, he struck at Vanisher once more, but this time Vanisher Teleported rapidly out of the way.
"You missed.. What the?" He asked as in surprise because somehow he had simply telported a little backwards instead of behind Captain America as he intended. He only had time to think "That shouldn't have happened" before Cap's fist met his face and he fell to the ground.
"One more down." Cap thought as he grunted in pain.
"Nice shot Cap!" Wasp said. Give me one minute and I'll be there.
"Give up bowman. Most of your fellows are already down. Why share their fate?" Wanda asked him.

Thor has just enough movement to free move to M10, picking up the HO in Q12 along the way. (Q13, Q12, P11, O11, N11, M10). Next to Yellowjacket and with Vanisher in range.
I'm gonna go for the push with Cap. Not guts no glory as you've said. 4 on a 13. Roll is (4,2). miss. Wanda uses PC. Reroll is (6,3). Hit!!! Vanisher takes one and is KOed. Cap takes one too. Assuming I can I'm giving one of the IAP to Wanda. (Not sure cause the assist rule specifies up to half the damage dunno about KO points.

Phew got Vanisher. Cap's one click from gone though. Tough match after all. Question is should I try and capture Hawkeye or YJ? I have good story ideas for capturing both. Wasp's gonna notice that YJ has Hank's technology after all.
And since you mentioned it Wanda will PC any further breakaway attempts from Hawkeye.
Hawkeye heard a groan that could only mean the Vanisher had been knocked out. He looked around and saw that the villainous crew hadn't taken out even a single hero. He hesitated again, painfully aware that he needed to increase the distance between himself and his adversaries -- both physically and figuratively -- if he was going to be able to make a good decision regarding his next moves.
Yellowjacket, too, heard vanisher's last groan and felt the Thunder God's lutefisk-tainted breath on the nape of her neck. "Cripes, he even picked up that gas grill!" she thought. "I gotta keep running!" She tried to continue her flight, but fatigue overcame her. Despite her exhaustion, she had the energy to resort to her only remaining defense: she shrank (further?).
------------------------------
Yellowjacket will attempt breakaway -> roll: 1 (great (he said sarcastically))
Yellowjacket takes 1 pushing damage (what's this?! a 16 DV?! cool)
Hawkeye clears (he's going to be a popular and fairly easy target soon enough anyway)

Man, key points in my probably losing this game: my silly move of Mr Hyde back to Thor; Boomerang missing Thor with his Incapacitate; Yellowjacket missing Thor two turns back; Cap KOing Vanisher just now (i had you!); my terrible placement of Hawkeye for most of the first 5 turns
In spite of my wanting the Avengers (as my future partners) to do well, my pride won't let me go down quietly. I'm trying, DKnight!
"Time to end this Archer." Wasp said as she struck him dead on with a blast that seemed like it would knock him back into the wall. His foot suddenly snagged on a root though, and he merely tripped and landed on his bottom instead. "Wanda go back toward the hallway." Wasp continued with a wink.
Thor merely waited. He could tell his foe was weakened and refused to strike an unready opponent.
-----------------------------------------------
Wasp will attack Hawkeye. 7 on a 13. Roll is (5,5). Well hmmm.. That's 2 damage and knockback that'll KO him. But I really wanna capture Hawkeye. So call me crazy but Wanda's gonna PC that roll. Reroll is a (1,5). Good that's a hit for 2 with no knockback. Hawkeye's on his last click. (And I don't think that can count as an assist so Wasp gets all the IAP)

You're up. Game's almost done though. Hawkeye may be able to hit and incapcitate Wasp, but I doubt it. I wish him luck though. Maybe his luck'll change once he joins the team.
Hawkeye not only felt the physical pain of Wasp's sting but also the ignominy of being planted onto his keister in the schrubs. "What possessed me to hook up with these losers?" he asked himself again. A quick glance confirmed his suspicions: with his new and unfamiliar equipment added to his injuries and the fact that Wasp was an extremely elusive target, he had only a very, very slim chance to get out of this in one piece. He reached quickly for an electro-arrow, took quick aim at Captain America, who seemed to be watching that talkative dark-haired woman run past him, and hit. The shock from the projectile seemed to stun the hero for a moment.
Yellowjacket was panting heavily, tired and surrounded by enemies. She steeled herself for the worst.

Yellowjacket has to clear.
Hawkeye has almost no chance of hitting Wasp, and she'll need a 5 to hit him (pushing), so Hawkeye will try to Incapacitate Cap -> AV 5 vs DV 11 roll: 6+1 = 7 HIT and Cap gets an action token

Hey DKnight
would it greatly disappoint you (or you, Vance) to learn that i don't (think i) own or have actually read any AWCoast comics? So what happens in AWC #102 anyway?
