Good stuff. There is a concerted effort to reward store owners. This is long overdue. There is a concerted effort to bring in new players, this is good. Occasional players will have to trade to get some of the "Collector's Edition" (not LE) figures.
I think I don't want to collect Heroclix anymore. It used to be fun, now it's a pain in the butt.

Why is that? It's easier to get a full set now: one case (or four clix bricks) should complete a full set. That's easier than it is now.
Standard LEs need to be won, same as before the SRs.
Mailaway LEs are the same as before.
Now there is an LE available for buying a ClixBrick, which you would do anyways if you're trying to complete a set.
Plus, there is an LE if you bring a new friend in to try the game. That shouldn't be too tough for most people. If you don't have a venue supporting this program, then eBay is the same option is was before.
How is any of this a bigger pain in the butt then before?

This last bit if I remember correctly is only good if you live in the USA!! :disappoin
Doesn't do me any good in Canada...
It's like this: Every case will have the normal 48 boosters, BUT they will be shrink wrapped in 4 seperate 12 packs, i.e. 4 clixbricks per case. So, the retailer can either bust open a clixbrick and sell them individually or sell the brick in whole. Each clixbrick package will have a certificate within it that is used to redeem your exclusive LE. Hope that helps.
So what happens to the retailer who's sold 36 boosters from a case, and someone comes in wanting one more. Does he split that brick, and therefore potentially disappoint someone who might come in later and buy all 12 remaining boosters? Does he refuse to sell that single booster to his customer, hoping someone will want to buy up a whole dozen boosters at once? Given what we've seen with past sets, there's a good chance there won't be any cases left to reorder later, so retailers could very well be stuck in these types of conundrums.
And many local comic shops give you a discount if you buy a whole case. If you buy a whole case from your local shop, can you still get the LE, or will you be forced to buy 4 separate bricks and pay a higher price (although doing so would give you 4 LEs, so for some it might be considered an even trade)? That isn't made clear anywhere in the announcement.
I no longer buy Clix at all, but some friends of mine bought 4 cases of Fantastic Forces, and STILL didn't get two complete sets between them (they got only one Spider-Man 2099 and NO Vet Tigras!), so this should make them pretty happy.
