I may have decided to Outwit Walter's Toughness instead, since that would cause him to recieve feedback damage from Damage Shield, but then again, probably not, since it would'nt work on that click anyway I believe. So you're probably right in Outwitting Charge. Either way it wouldn't have made any difference.

Yeah good game. Your team really is pretty butt-kicking. Very versatile. You had mobility all over me with all your flyers (inculding one Hypersonic). Great team + Great playing meant I didn't have much of a chance. I'd be really interested to try and face the Alphans with a team that I've constructed myself...perhaps a training match sometime. I have an idea for a thematic team that should be quite competitive.

I'm going to go do my story posts for my Knights game now. I just checked, and we're only on Turn 5 at the momen- Yikes. With less than a week until deadline.

Oh, Loki couldn't Outwit Walter, Snowbird was blocking the LoS. So it was something on Kyle or Wade.

Well I agree with you that my team did very well this game but with 4 BCFers and the type of rolles that PBE were spitting out for my BCF I could have taken out a lot of teams...............but as we both know BCF (and Super Sences) are unreliable................one game their all great and win games for you easily .........and other games..............they almost make it impossible to win :disappoin .

This game was definetly a hit. My BCF were really helpful.

My plan was to have Jean-Paul and Kyle go finnish off Robert and let Loki blast away at my team. It's a shame that I had to use Snowbird as a meat shield but thems the breaks. As soon as Deadpool lost his peplex I really sheilded Kyle from any type of combat........I wanted to keep his 10 attack for as long as possible.

Times getting a bit short for training..............and even more for me since I have other RPSC stuff to do , but if you're interested and we both have the time, maybe you could do some training with me after the annual? I always enjoy our matches. I might be able to knock out a quick and fun trinaing game with a player thats on a lot like me(Kasz or TMNT) but I'll have to see how much I have to do when I get back to work tomorrow night. I was only home 2 hours before I was paged to cover someone who went home sick..................I can't remember my exact wrods, as I was a bit tired, but I think it had something to do with where they could go.

As Deadpool touched down and Snowbird landed beside him, Wade couldn't help but think that this wasn't a very good day. But far be it from Deadpool to keep things like that to himself..........

"This is so not what I signed up for. Fighting skeletons, freezing my keister off and having to deal with (points his sword at Pestilence) what ever the heck that is. Red I gotta say that I don't know why we stick around with these guys."

AJ smiled as she blasted another of the creatures to dust, "Well you have to admit Wade, it is better that they have the extra man power."

"Well I am chalk full of man power."

As Deadpool was talking the undead creature he was fighting took advantage of his distraction and hit Wade square in the jaw. Under his mask Wade could taste the blood, didn't look like his healing factor was kicking in just yet.

"Oh come on! I was in the middle of talking. What kinda of a moron would hit someone mid-speech.....?"

Snowbird turned to regards Wade, "Although I have only know you a short time, would this not imply that you could never be hit?"

Wade stopped mid-rant. He could hear AJ trying to hold in her laugh.

Pestilence started to laugh in an unnatural tone that resounded off the walls, "When I am done here, I shall spare you as my jester, red one."

'Hey I'm no bodies jester, you pre-maddona wanna-be villain. You've only been out for like what 5 minutes and you already think your going to rule the world? Pitiful. You're almost not even worth the distraction."

"What do you mean dis...........?"

Just as Deadpool had Pestilence's full attention Northstar pulled off two of the boards on the wall which allowed Walter enough of a view to bring the cast-iron cooking pot down on Pestilence with a satisfying thud. Unfortunately Pestilence had reacted quickly enough to knock Jean-Paul out of the fight before the attack.

"Oh, that would be the distraction setting you up for my shaggy friend."

While still tussling with the skeleton Wade seemed to still be having trouble until Kyle came to help out. The creature took a swing at Kyle but the former Weapon X project easily evaded the strike. But Kyle wasn't trying to hurt the creature he was just trying to take it off balance for Wade to get a clear shot at it. Wade didn't wait a second before he brought his katana down on the creature........cleaving it in two. Looking around Wade saw that all of their enemies were downed.

"Well that was fun...........now lets go find some hot chocolate and some smores.........I got a craving for some marsh mellows."

As Kyle helped Snowbird to her feet AJ walked over to the large pot. She could have sworn that it moved. As she stepped closer Pestilence threw off the pot and grabbed her by the neck.

"Fools! You think me defeated by a simple cooking instrument? You do not understand the power that I posses."

As he spoke AJ started to feel weak. She could actually feel her energy being pulled out of form. She was struggling to even stay conscious.

"RED!!"

Wade took out the claw he had picked up earlier and launched himself at Pestilence. But the warning was enough to warn Pestilence of the attack, he caught Wade in his other hand by the neck. Wade was able to rake the claw over Pestilence's arm before he dropped it.............but they both noticed that the would did not close as all of Pestilence's other wounds had.

"Interesting, it is of no matter. Once I absorb both of your energies I will be beyond any limitations!"

As he finished talking he opened his mouth wide and exhaled a noxious gas at Walter that kept him at bay.

Kyle managed to get Snowbird to stand on her own after she last exerted herself he saw the claw that Deadpool had dropped. With a nod to Walter, Kyle scooped up the dagger sized claw and rolled around his foe.

Deadpool still clinging to consciousness , "Well you've got both of your hands full with us, what are you going to do to stop him, smart guy?"

With little effort Pestilence lashed out at Kyle with his right knee sending him flying to the side wall. Clearly thinking himself unbeatable he taunted the smaller Alphan.

"Any other tricks little one?"

Kyle, still holding the claw, wiped the blood from his mouth. It apparently wasn't going to be healing either. He stood up and in a voice that sounded much as though it came from a seasoned warrior and not a shy teenager.

"I have one more I'd like to try"

"Come with it then!"

"You'll like this one, I learnt it from Dredd."

As Pestilence lashed out again with his left leg Kyle rolled under the attack and kicked out at the exposed area under Pestilence's belt buckle.

His eye bugged out, he doubled over in pain, and dropped AJ and Wade.

Kyle never stopped moving. He continued to roll under Pestilence legs and stood up behind his foe. With no hesitation Kyle drove the claw through Pestilence's shoulder and driving it into the floor pinning the undead creature.

Pestilence thrashed around wildly then lay still, beginning to putrify before their very eyes.

Wade wrinkled his nose at the stench, "Does someone have an aircraft sick bag by any chance? I think I'm about to blow chunks."

Snowbird kicked the rotting remains of Pestilence. "Good the creature is no more, now we can deal with the real threat, time is very short and the future of the world hangs in the balance!"

Walter's curiosity was in full gear by now. "What is this danger, how can we deal with it?"

"You may be our last hope Walter Langowski. I do not know exactly how yet, but you have a spiritual connection to our foes, to the foes of all life on Earth. We have to prevent the coming of the Gre...AAAGGHH!!"

Snowbird's words became a pained gurgle as the pudrid remains of Pestilence surged up and gripped her, necrotic lips peeling back as it violently forced its mouth over hers. Snowbird spasmed violently and collapsed, as the remains of pestilence turned to foul dust.

Wade poked Snowbird with a stick, "Hey, Manimal, are you ok?"

"Oh yes, In fact I feel much more like my old self thank you for asking," said Snowbird in a gurgling male voice. With a cry of victory Snowbird flew in to the air, her skin splitting and falling away like a grotesque butterfly emerging from its larval form.

Where Snowbird had been stood the renewed form of Pestilence. "Ah, a fine new body, my compliments to the Goddess."

"Hold it right there eh, give us the lady back!" shouted Eugene.

"I think not my disgusting stunted friend," cackled Pestilence, "there is a big wide world out there, all that life being wasted on the living. Till we meet again!"

With that Pestilence burst up through the ceiling of the building, heading high up in to the sky. With Firestar and Northstar both out of it there was no-one to follow.

There was a long mournful silence before Wade spoke up. "That is one seriously messed up transvestite."

As the rest of Alpha Flight began to circle Wade he was saved by a blast of wind and a search light.

"Ahoy, this is search and rescue. We just picked up your beacon and traced your route. Let's get you home eh?"

As they flew back to base in the rescue copter Walter was deep in thought. What was the great evil that was about to threaten the Earth, and what had the strange Snowbird meant when she said he was connected to it? He had no answers and that bothered him deeply. He shivered, and it was not from the cold.
