I have a question about your list of compatability. Does Wizkids recognize this as true? WHat I mean is, if I print this off and use it a t the tournaments I run, would other players recornize this as valid and accurate?
It seems awesome, I just don't want a player to say to me, "Oh, that is not an official wizkids document so I don't have to abide by it."
If you are the official judge running the tournament, then players must abide by your decision regardless of whatever documents you might show to them.
That said, SuperGENE's list is not officially approved. It is, however, very well researched. He has made a point of quizzing the officials over on the WizKids boards so that the list contains the right answers.
HI GENE!
Once again, thanks for your superlative work in compiling this document! What a mammoth undertaking. Just a couple things I was wondering:
1) Thanks for the keyword index! Would it be possible to get another index that lists the character by the keyword (as opposed to how it is now, where it lists the keyword by the character)? So, for instance, if I wanted to put together a WizKids-sanctioned 'Monster' team, I could just check under the 'Monster' entry instead of poring over the entire list looking for 'Monster'? I know, nothing like starting out asking for a SIMPLE task, is there? Actually, if you're not interested in doing the busy-work, I'd be happy to do the compiling, if you think it would be something that might benefit your document... I think this would be one thing where the longer you wait to do it, the more gargantuan the task would become...
2) I absolutely LOVE how you've cross-referenced the FAQ entries with the particular feat / BFC / whatever they relate to. Would it be at all possible to get a page number along with the cross-reference? For example, under the 'Armor Piercing' listing (page 72) you say, "See also, Battlefiled Conditions Q & A: Q019". If there was a page listing there as well (i.e. - "See also, Battlefield Conditions Q & A: Q019 (page 104)"), it would make it SIGNIFICANTLY easier to navigate, imho, as every topic that is in the Q & A section has the "Q0xx" designation, and it's very easy to inadvertently look up the Q019 under "Feats" rather than the Q019 under "BFCs". (Not that that's ever, ever, EVER happened to myself, mind you... A... uh... FRIEND told me that it happens to HIM! Yeah! That's it!...)
Or, if a page designation would be too labor intensive (and again, I'd be happy to lend a hand, should you desire assistance), maybe a simple designation at the very top of the Q & A pages as to WHICH Q & A section you're in...
Does any of that make sense?
Anyways, thanks again for this terrific resource. I only offer these suggestions because this document has become an entrusted friend and I only want to see it become better. I love it, and wish I could give you MORE rep for it!
Take care,
-jason

I think that's already being taken care of on another HCR thread. In any event, it's pretty simple (but time consuming) to do, so at some point in the future I'll probably just copy and paste the HCR list into a separate document to post on my site. I won't list it both ways in my comprehensive document because it'll take up too much space. 118 pages is too much as it is!

I won't be including page numbers in the references because the page any given FAQ question is found on is subject to change each time I update the document. It would be too time consuming to update all the page numbers each time WK adds a rules update. Even if I had a volunteer taking care of it, the idea is for me to make the updates on my end as soon as possible, so I'd rather not add page numbering references to the process.
I might add internal hyperlinks to the document. That means if you're viewing it on a computer, you can click on a reference ("see also, feats Q&A Q017") and it will automatically take you to that point in the document (Q017).
There are 2 problems with internal hyperlinking. 1) It's time consuming. 2) There's a problem with the pdf writer - when I convert a word file to pdf, all hyperlinks inside become text. If someone has a solution to that problem, post here or PM me, but let me know how to fix it!
While that would make the document incredibly easy to navigate on computer, there's still the issue of finding stuff on a printed copy of the document. I'll consider separating each section of the FAQ into different sections in my document. This way, the footer for each page of the FAQ can specify which section of the FAQ you're viewing. The drawback is that it makes a 118 page document even longer!

love you site... very helpful. But I was wondering how to get in contact with cold fuzion about his clix checklists?
they are very comprehensive, but need to be updated... In particular the Misc or Special list needs to include BPRD set, Legion of Super Heroes set, JLA set, 2099 set, Universe update & Fin Fang Foom. Also, future past & GL Corps need to be looked at & Indy & Infinity Challenge need to be added.
If you could past that on, or pm me his info... that would be great.
has anyone made a power and abilities card that is good for both dc and marvel? i like the ones made that will fit on one sheet of 81/2 X 11 and you print front and back.
My updated document is up. It contains all the changes and listings for the 9/20 E/Cs and FAQ. It's 134 pages and close to 4MB now, so you might want to download it from a broadband connection or do it overnight while you're asleep or something if you're on dial up.
It seems like WK left out all the forum rulings for the Avengers special powers. Maybe they'll add that in soon.
Just to let everyone know, the document has the most updated version of the comprehensive rules, but it's still outdated. So refer to the retired figures & cards section to see what's actually retired now. I wonder when WK will unveil the new approved play system and rules...

I thought it was weird that it lacked the inclusion of the Avengers special power rulings. Good work as usual, Gene. Rep. Gonna be at Archway on Sunday?
