"Just like my companions," Gigawatt thought to himself. "Always wasting their time with violence when there is a far more important task at hand to deal with. It's a shame my thrusters haven't been upgraded recently, but I was designed for offense."
Timeline was still a worthwhile ally, he knew that, and Kane was likely sacrificing himself to keep what may have been their most sinister ally occupied. His odds of survival were decreasing by the second, but seconds were all that Gigawatt was going to need.
He flew onto the rooftop, ignoring his teammates that were cowering while attempting to look heroic. He took cover and stopped. He had seen the CEO, and saw the best path for rescue. It would take a moment for him to decide his next move, considering the CEO was guarded on both sides.
The plan had merit, but would it work?

Kane finally got a good grip on Revenge II, dropped back enough to give Spasm somewhere to chase him, then he teleported behind her, gripping onto the gutter with one hand and aiming with the other.
"Hey, eh, Timeline? You got some info for me on what to shoot this lady with? If you can't find anything, I guess I've got some ideas of my own, but..."
Spasm turned around, leaping toward Kane, knives in hand.
"And the faster you can look that up, the better."

Action: Kane's auto regen, of course! Needs 4 for green line, rolls 5. He hits green line... I'll postpone the rest of my action until after K-Ness boosts one of my stats (Preferably damage, next up would be attack, then defense, in order of priority)

"I suggest bullets, Kane." Timeline continued to type on his computer. "Or if you prefer, you could throw rocks at her." Timeline stopped typing for a moment and looked at Kane's monitor. "Actually... rocks aren't such a bad idea. Kane, look above you. There's a gargoyle roof drain. Shoot near the connection of the base. If you can dislodge it, it should do more damage to her than your standard bullets would."
He turns to the next monitor where Brian, Heru and Vladimir are standing there on the rooftop. "Why does that one guy keep following us around?" He searches the battlefield a bit and then comes to a conclusion. "Heru, you did a great job with Proletariat, but right now I need you to shy away from the people on the roof. Kane, Tea-man and Jezebel need your help on the ground. There's two probes to your right. Try to take out either one of them. I'll let you decide which one." He looks around at the rest of the team. "Jezebel, you still alive? Good. If you're able to, lend Heru a hand with the droids. Whichever one he doesn't destroy, disable the other's circuitry. They're on a constant flow of energy and it's allowing them to continuously move without causing any system feedback. You're a smart girl so I'm sure you'll figure out how... fine... there's a few sprinkler systems in the grass near where the units are hovering. Try to shoot one apart so that you get one of the robots wet. Then fill me in on what you plan to do with your spare time so I can work up something to help you."
Timeline smiles as he watches Gigawatt take a smart defensive position. Under his breath he says "Make me proud to be your ally..."
Timeline will increase Kane's damage by one. Timeline will increase Heru's attack by one. Timeline will increase Gigawatt's defense by one. Holding off on Mercy until I know what she plans to do.

Kane sprang off the wall, just as Spasm was about to strike him, and phased through the blades, turning toward the statue and firing the simplistic bullets that were easiest to create, to very little effect. As he continued to fall and hadn't dropped the statue yet, he became desperate, firing weapon after weapon. Nothing seemed to be having an effect, until his right hand seemed to... set on fire. He looked at it in horror.
'Not again! I... no... never again!'
As he landed, Kane used Revenge II as a flamethrower, melting the supports on the gargoyle and sending it collapsing onto Spasm. Kane took a deep breath, then made sure his hand wasn't on fire anymore. He grabbed at the necklace under his shirt, trying to even out his breathing and get back into the flow of combat.
'I didn't... I won't ever again... please, give me strength...'
His breathing slowed to a reasonable level, and as Spasm threw the gargoyle aside, he could tell that this battle would take a long time...

Action: Kane will now attack Spasm in close combat (At least, as far as game mechanics go). 11 AV vs. 17 DV. Needs 6, gets 7. I'm tempted to use PC on that for XP, but I know when not to gamble. (Just for giggles, I rolled it, and it was... a critical hit. Ah well) Spasm's super senses is a 1, so Kane hits her for 3.

Story: "I hear you. I wonder who keeps sending these probes, they don't seem to be like the others." Heru weaved past Brian, and took a short jog to the edge of the rooftop where he could see the probes idling around. They looked mean, the shape and design seemed menacing, evil, familiar...
With the safety of others on the line Heru could not afford to idle, he decided to go against his better judgment, firing on the farthest probe. By whatever fate governed luck, the boiling hot shot solidly impacted the probe, sending molten slag showering over the ground, sending up puffs of smoke.
I can't afford to let myself get pinned down, the other side of the building could use some cover, time to flush out the enemies and get some more people up here.
A showering of bullets through the air forced Heru to jump out of the way, denting the floor beneath him and sending gravel showering through the air. "Hey Kane, watch what is behind your gun once in a while".
Taking a perch overlooking the courtyard, Heru prepared to offer further cover.
Action: Heru uses his HSS to scoot over to O-14 and targets F(x). 16 DV versus 11+1 AV, I need a 4. I get a 11(5,6) doing 4 damage to F(x). A little farther of a jog brings him to L-17, where he can say hello to all his friends coming upstairs.

I thought I would write some more story for the post. If this is a little too much, let me know.
Additional story:
Data streamed through the image recording units, adding all the information in three separate memory banks. This was all to ensure that the primary purpose of the unit was never disrupted. Forms were logged, identified, and sent back into the banks, repeating this task continually as long as the unit was operational. Once recovered, the data would be analyzed again and again, ensuring that all possible room for error was eliminated.
The units disliked interference, as it distracted it from gathering information. The only emotion, if it could be called that, they were capable of was annoyance.
A humanoid figure had been in a position to interfere, causing the primary unit to get annoyed. In case of annoyance, both were equipped with compact high caliber weapons. A shot towards the humanoid had apparently warned it off.
Images streamed into the banks, saving for examination. This time the units were sent out to hunt for a specific target, or the suspicion of a target. The probes could not comprehend the ramifications of their mission, only the requirements. An anomaly had been logged, causing the units to be sent to record.
An image was logged, recorded, and sent to the banks, the next went through the same process, the next… was different.
error. Implausible occurrence. Action taken which can not exist. Query: emergency protocol requirements. Answer: ensure anomaly was not a malfunction, Return to base.
The flare being emanated from the figure ceased, but left its mark on the recorded images. The images would be examined, and determined valid. An anomaly did exist.
Mission accomplished, the devices motors hummed with more power, they prepared to report their findings. One, however, would never get the chance as it was melted. The images, all data banks, were lost. The other unit did not concern itself with the others fate, it was only concerned with streaming images.
