As inexpicable and unlikely as it might have been, the Scarlet Witch employed her mutant ability to alter probabilities against the last of the giant robots. Although it never should have happened, the main circuits in its CPU shut down, smoke issued from its head, and it fell over onto the ground, inactive.

Just then, the bell signalling the end of the training session went off. Wonder Man got back to his feet, groaning and holding his mid-section. Hawkeye was rubbing his head, which ws clearly smarting. Iron Man walked in, and Wanda could hear his smile as he spoke, even though she couldn't see it. "Well done," Iron Man said. "You were the last standing against the Atlanteans, too. You're a regular powerhouse, Wanda!" (See WCAvengers #4 to see just how much of a powerhouse, which takes place after this training session.)

The Scarlet Witch smiled grimly, looked over to Wonder Man, and remained silent.

[Thank you very much for the training match, Kasz. Your replies were always very prompt, too. I never would have thought i had a chance after Wonder Man was hurt so badly aand Hawkeye hardly even got a shot in. I was again hoping that Hawkeye would have a chance to Incapacitate someone... This training match has convinced me that i can take the risk and use Ant-Man in the next issue, even though he's hurt; i just can't push him and reduce his Defense Value any further.]

the pleasure was all mine. Yeah Ant-man is my kind of figure. Annoying enough to have his presense felt, but someone you don't want to target unless you have to because of that high Defence. With the right placement... he's a terror.
