They're also giving us a bunch of Spider-Men. Regardless of the theme of a set they have to move outside the theme for some of the characters, so that they can catch the broadest amount of players. There are plenty of players who wouldn't be caught up in a bunch of second, third, and forth tiered Spider-Man villains alone. Hell, Fantastic Forces only have 4 FF members, and some 6-8 FF-related characters out of the dozens of characters in the set.

As for there being a lot of X-Men in the game, that might have something to do with, oh, there being a TON OF X-MEN. There are just a lot of them in the comics. That's a fact. The X-Men are Marvel's most popular franchise and their corner of the Marvel U is continually expanding. They have dozens of characters that have still yet to be made, even given how many are in each set. This set has several X-Men. The next set will too, as well as the set after that. Complaining about that is beyond pointless.

I am extremely happy now, we finally have Meggan!

With a new Shadowcat and Lockheed also in the set, the original Excalibur will be complete. It got me wondering, will there be an Excalibur ATA for X-Men also in the set? We are surely due an X-Men ATA.

(Statwise, I think I prefer the Experienced. Back when I was reading X-Caliber, Meggan was more of a close-in fighter than a Running Shooter so the E is probably closest to what I want to use her like.)

It's a good thing the venues around here don't run too many Constructed/Restricted events, because as soon as I get my hands on E Meggan and the Lockheed pog (and possibly one of the new Shadowcats) I'm running Excalibur in as many tournaments as I can get away with.

First Forge was revealed, then Meggan? Jeez, how many more of my X-Wants will be surprise announced? Sunspot? Strong Guy? Siryn? Rictor? Shard? Caliban? Shatterstar? Feral? Jubilee?

Yes....Meggan alright! OK were did everyone see the reference to a new Shadowcat. Am I just blind or what?!? This would be great I have yet to play an Excalibur team.
