To bad Triplicate Girl's not on this squad. If "Computer Kid" wins, he could be responsible for the return of Duo-Damsel.
Yeah I wonder why Shear didn't name him Computo. hehehe...That'd be so cool if Shear would let me sub Multiple Man for Triplicate girl...yeah! but probably not...
Yeah good game Stepp! I was really worried in the beginning since you had all these pretty good attackers..but then I realized I had dual outwit..which helped a LOT..and then the dual perplex at the end helped a lot too...but yeah...it definitely would've been a lot more closer if you took out Shrinking Violet earlier...but yeah definitely a good game! Thanks!
*I have him,* Saturn Girl exclaimed as she locked onto the Computer Kid and held him fast.
“Perfect,” Brainiac 5 said, taking a small disc from his belt and pressing a red button at its center. Tossing it onto the teen villain’s chest, he walked away calmly as it sputtered and sparked, melting down the Computer Kid’s internal hardware and burning out its brain.
“What the sprock was THAT?!” Phantom Girl demanded, helping Shrinking Violet to her feet.
“I deactivated it,” Brainiac said. “It was a machine, Phantom Girl-- there is no moral imperative in turning off a defective machine.”
*You went too far, Brainy,* Saturn Girl said angrily. *We could have questioned him, maybe found out what they were--*
“No. No questions-- and stop referring to it as a ‘him.’ It would have used your mercy to bide its time before killing us all.”
“How do you know that?” Invisible Kid asked. “These people are misguided and they’ve shown a definite lack of respect for life--“
“Precisely.”
“--But their profile shows they’d be sympathetic to us, at least. They never threaten underagers, only adults.”
“Once again, you reveal your small-mindedness,” Brainiac said simply, moving to the central console. “Leave the thinking to those of us more capable than yourselves, and I’ll leave the ‘disappearing’ and ‘mind-reading’ to you.”
Phantom Girl fumed. “Ugh, no wonder nobody likes you, you little--“
“Be quiet,” Brainiac said, suddenly alert and wide-eyed. “We’ve been played for fools! ‘Computer Kid’ - I should have known better! It’s such a basic ploy…”
*What’s happening, Brainy?*
“This was all an elaborate ruse, and we walked right into it. There was no ‘Computer Kid’ - it was simply a shell animated by their central computer! But the mainframe isn’t here-- it isn’t even in this complex! It’s underground, most likely, or even in deep-space--“
“Why is this so important, Brainy?” Violet asked, trying to clear her head and regain her senses.
“Just whom did you think we were fighting, here? The so-called Legion of Super-Villains is a farce, but the real threat is waiting for a last surge of energy to spur it to life. One last burst of energy will be all it needs to complete its plan.”
