Essentially, yes. It does the 1 Dmg of a light object +1 damage DEALT for it's special properties. You could perplex it up 2 more for max damage by current rules.

Let's see.... from memory, you can swap 1 SO for an object per 300 points..... or is that per blue-ring.....

Just checked the rulebook, that's for blue-rings only. You can place up to 3 Special Objects (per player) per game, and all 3 of those are considdered "unique" (meaning you can't use 2 of the same one).

Oh, and for clarification, 3D objects are all now considdered Special Objects
