Oh, and I will like to say that Outsiders is a great book, because I'm a big fan of the Batman and the Outsiders (originals from the 80's). But actually the book... is NOT that good. :disappoin
Green Lantern is the best book DC is doing right now, IMO. The way Johns built up to the Sinestro War storyline over the course of the first 20 issues or so by slipping in great moments like Batman being offered a yellow ring and by adding the Tales of The Sinestro Corps back up stories to the book built a lot of excitment and it paid off big time with an exciting, well paced story that made Sinestro into a major threat again. Best build up/pay off I've read in comics in a long time and I'm not even a huge GL fan.
Runner up would be Paul Dini's Detective Comics. He's mainly doing single issue adventures with fun mysterious and great takes on Bat's rogues, but he's also playing with some long term stuff like the Riddler opening his own detective agency and the mystery of who the new Scarface is. Very satisfying reads.
Yeah, I am pretty much going to agree with everyone else and list my favorites (Though I'm putting them in order):
1.) Green Lantern -Sinestro corps was brilliant. Only getting better since Sinestro corps wrapped up
2.) Booster Gold-Continuity at it's finest. If you have ever seen Lion King
1 1/2 and enjoyed it, this comic is kind of like that. Booster (and now Ted) go through time a la Quantum Leap to fix mistakes, and sometimes have a hand in major moments in DC history.
3.) Blue Beetle-Original, best supporting cast since Deadpool, funny, and is also a good book for ALL ages.
4.) JSA-Gotta love the classic characters, and something in me has always loved the idea of them protecting and training their "Lineage."

This was definitely a book that I came close to nominating. Consistently enjoyable and bringing more of the detective back into the storylines and less of the "uber-Bat". And the Joker/Robin story in #826 was just comics gold.
There have been other writers at DC who have tried to recapture the glory days of the JLI, well mostly, just the relationship and comradarie of Blue Beetle and Booster Gold. Johns has done this. it's an awesome light-hearted adventure with great storytelling that has yet to frustrate or bore me. seeing Jonah Hex and then Sinestro and Barry allen within 5 issues of each other was awesome, and i hope the series continues this tone and the pacing it has shown thusfar.

Agreed. Though JSA comes a close second.
"When the going gets weird, the weird go pro." - Hunter S. Thompson"

"...that Kryptonian boy's tantrums, which I still find ridiculous to believe. Punching history. Please." - Rip Hunter speaks the truth in Booster Gold #1
In your signature line even!!! Geoff Johns is one of my favorite writers of all time. He even has the sense of humor to poke fun at the few ideas that come from his mind that suck!

Let me chime in with agreement on Dini's Detective . While Morrison's Batman is fab, Dini is offering self-contained stories that offer a lot of punch packed into 22 pages. A must read for those of us who started reading Batman in the 1970s.
"It is said that civilized man seeks out good and intelligent company so that through learned discourse he may rise above the savage and closer to God. Personally, however, I like to start the day with a total di**head to remind me I'm best."
I was on the fence with Booster Gold, Green Lantern and Blue Beetle but after this weeks issue of Blue Beetle (#25), I have to go with Blue Beetle. Being able to introduce a new character and have him fit in and expand upon decades of Blue Beetle history makes this title accessible to new readers as well as old ones like me. And yes, Guy Gardner's entrance to the fight with "That's right, baby girl. I'm the Crazy One" is now my favorite line of all time!
I don't think picking the best DC comic is really a fair fight when Morrison and Quitely are hitting grand-slam homeruns with every issue of All-Star Superman. Really, this title leaves great comics in the dust.
If I could exclude that one, my next choice would easily be Blue Beetle.
...now, if we can just get Professor Pyg confirmed.
