Im trying to like final crisis I just dont get whats happening.


can someone explain to me the plot of final crisis in a way I can understand?

House of Mystery #4 - Fig still adjusting and treating her imprisonment like a dream because she feels she designed the house in her previous life. So while she is longing to escape becoming the new waitress of the house, a patron tells a tale about longing for something, we see where the waitress Fig has replaced has been taken, and how those trapped in the house deal with their frustration with the house.
Finally an issue that clicked with me. With the rampant cancellations of Vertigo titles I moved Fables to trade to help give this book a chance and I finally really like an issue. It is the first one with Willingham' name off it, strangely enough, too. Hope the quality continues or I am likely back to Fables after issue 6.

In summary, Evil Wins. Apparently all of the heroes are being taken out, one by one. MM was killed as a token to the Human Flame, but probably also because his psychic powers were a threat to their plans.
It also seems to be a vehicle for the return (and originally the death) of the New Gods. The Fourth World is gone and the Fifth World is beginning.
Or so it appears to me.

Bare Bones:

The New Gods have been wiped out but Darkseid has endured and is resurrecting all of the Evil Gods on Earth. He's also mastered the Anti-Life Equation which gives him control over all who are exposed to it. Using Anti-Life and other means, he's eliminating all possible threats against him and is taking control of the Earth.

Does that make sense?

That's why I gave Madame Xanadu a pass, figuring it'll get cancelled just as it starts getting good.

I'm still in mourning for Loveless.

Well, I got the impression the New Gods all died in this universe, but there was a War in Heaven (or whatever) between them, and Darkseid won that battle. Now he's come to Earth with his followers in new avatars and is planning to take control of the multiverse, since New Earth is the lynchpin to the entire thing.

But yes, don't open any email from [email protected]. IS IMPORTANT!

Ok yea That makes sense, but why is Darkseid a Human?

All of Darkseid's people seem to be appearing in the bodies of humans. Something that happened in that war of the gods has apparently destroyed their bodies or made them incompatible with our universe, so they have to possess others in order to appear here.

Details on the hows and whys of this haven't been given. All we know for sure is that Darkseid and his minions are using human bodies while here.

So to sum it up...

When the New Gods died there bodies went to earth, and somewhat back in time. So the Mr. Miracle of hte 7 Soldiers is Mr. Miracle only in his earth body. And for some reason the new gods are black mostly.

Granny Goodness tried to restart her training faculity for Dark Side but was killed by Black Alice in Birds of Prey. but not before nearly transforming Kid Devil in Teen Titans.

And for some reason, instead of 'A Motherbox' it's now 'Motherboxxx'.

Then, he'll tell you he needs money, as his country is the pits, but with the donation, it puts him closer to obtaining the riches that are rightfully his and when he gets the treasures back, he'll pay you back, with interest.

That's cause now, it's got a special hole in it.

Been enjoying Final Crisis, but this was by far the worst part of it for me. By no means do you need a draft just to collect three or four teams that hang out together all the time anyhow.

EDIT: Oh, and boo if you're going to collect all those heroes together if the splash page isn't stunning and awesome.

Final Crisis #3 was okay. It's making me reasonably interested in seeing what happens next.

The comic that hit me over the head with shockers this month, was the Hawkman Special.



That totally came out of left field, with no warning.

After seeing it... I didn't mind the lavender hair, but the mostly shaved-head was a bit much.

And I think after looking at the last page, that isn't Starfire, it's Batwoman. Or possibly even Oracle (as an evil Batgirl). She was right there when the e-bomb hit. (And considering the resources and hax0rz skills Morrison gives her, she might be able to shut down major email servers to isolate the message. I don't think that's outside the realms of possibility, but you can't exactly say that when you only have a few seconds to react.)
