Not a defense but I look at it two ways.

1. I agree with you, say Mal is likely mafia. We still don't get a lynch off. Now either
a) You were right, in which case you and I are surely the next mafia targets for voting Mal.
b) you were wrong and we look suspicious for voting for a townie
2. You're a mafioso trying to push the vote on someone else.

Either way, I have no desire to push a vote yet.
