Got BN #3, enjoyed it a lot better than Final Crisis.
Read JSA Vs Kobra #4 and it's interesting. I read it and think of things I would have done differently, maybe.
Got Green Arrow/Black Canary........ I don't know, it's just not wokring for me however the way they segued from backup story to Ollies story was magnificent.
Yes, but you're a surrealist! I'm a normal guy!
Gil Zoo Crew or bust!
Well I guess Jason Rausch is technically dead too since he got absorbed. And has Terra killed Beast Boy yet?
I think a lot of characters won't stay dead after this story is over but some of them might (like Ralph and Sue). Some of them need to stay dead like the Flying Graysons since they are such a huge part of Dick's story and played an integral part in who he ultimately became. I mean, that would be like if Bruce wasn't stuck somewhere in time and Martha and Thomas Wayne became Black Lanterns, and eventually were brought back to life. That wouldn't just be messed up; it'd totally deconstruct the motivation Bruce had for becoming Batman.

I like Plastic Man and his tour of duty with the JLA. Always liked him better than Elongated Man. As for the new line-up, it looks interesting. We have the next-gen Big Three(Mon-El, Richard Grayson and Donna Troy), and some vets like Hal, Ollie and Ray and some newbies and oddballs. Altho, I'd rather see Vixen and Firestorm instead of Congorilla and The Guardian. I'm almost surprised that Beat oy didn't go thru a costume and name change and join the team instead of Congorilla as Beastiary or something like that.
Superman: "One of these days, Lois....POW!!! Right to the Marvel Universe!"

I have a theory about Blackest Night. Everyone who has unfinished business will return. The ones that will stay dead are the ones that are at peace (Dove, for example).

Not gonna recap this one because a lot happens and you guys already did. What I will say is that it's pretty sweet finally seeing the Indigo Tribe do something, even if it is mostly exposition. The stuff with the Firestorms was really cool in a twisted way. And the art continues to rock. If you'll notice on the last page, BL Maxwell Lord has a rope around his neck to balances his head. Nice touch.
Outsiders #22
Story: 3/5
Art: 4/5
"It really is nice to hear my true name spoken again these last few minutes. Reminds me that I used to be human. Thank you for that. I won't make you suffer. Your death will be quick...if you allow it to be."
Geo-Force and Metamorpho arrive in Wyoming to stop Clayface. He has captured various geologists to dig through him and find the exploding implant that Blackgate prison put in him and that Black Mask was using to control the Arkhamites. With some half-decent action, the two Outsiders free the people and blow up Clayface and leave him underground.
Meanwhile in Louisiana, Creeper, Halo and Katana wander through the bayou searching for Killer Croc, who has been literally tearing himself apart looking for his implant. The last panel of the book shows Man-Bat behind them.
This title continues to be...well, there. I think i'll drop it at the end of this arc. Artwork's solid, but Tomasi just isn't pulling the same weight he does with GLC.
Batman and Robin #4
Story: 4/5
Art: 3/5
Red Hood and Scarlet begin their war on crime; naturally, it's your standard lethal vigilantes vs. righteous heroes kind of deal. The real allure is Scarlet's fragile state, plus more interaction between Dick and Damian. Writing remains solid, but the artwork is lacking; it's more the colorist's fault. It's done very dark and it's hard to see what's going on sometimes. Still, it's pretty cool stuff here.
Batgirl #2
Story: 3/5
Art: 3/5
Stephanie Brown is told by Barbara Gordon to stop being Batgirl. It doesn't work. Also, Scarecrow's drugging people. This issue was better than the last, but still just so-so. That's all.
JSA vs. Kobra #4 Kobra ups the ante with even more suicide bombings while going after his real target- the Rock of Eternity. The JSA barely stop him, but he escapes and now it's looks like it will be the team's turn to strike first.
Yes, there seemed to have been a shift and the pendulum is swinging in the other direction. Mr. Terrific comes through in the clutch...
Meanwhile, the B&tB teamup of Batman and Dial H for Hero was really interesting until Batman got all preachy for the final 94 panels. What? It wasn't 94 panels? Sure seemed like it.
Finally was able to pick up my comics for this week and also got BN:superman. I gotta say I really enjoyed issue 3 of BN and the supes issue. Some really big stuff is happening in both and the art is really great. The deal with Firestorm was particularly disturbing as Ronnie turned Gen to table salt (so much for her coming back as a BL).
What I"m wondering now is that if Ronnie gets destroyed then what happens to Jason? Does he die too?
And where was Aquaman during all of this? I assume that Tempest was either with him or is he part of the attack on the Titans?
And while Jason was looking at the monitors in the JLA headquarters, who are the JSA fighting? I was wondering about that since the JSA, in their own comic, are not currently dealing with any of the BL stuff (I don't know what they're dealing with actually but anyway).

Well, Aquaman was turned into water, yet he's back as a Black Lantern.

This makes me wonder what role Alan Scott will play in all of this, since he is a Green Lantern of a different sort.

Well, what I meant about aquaman was what was he up to after BN #2, since he wasn't a part of the attack at the JLA headquarters.
as far as Alan goes, Hal told them to go find him and see if he could help them, but I wonder too since his is more mystical. I guess as long as Solomon Grundy doesn't show up with a stick in his hand, Alan should be able to help. Gotta hate when your ring is weak against wood, of all things.

I was wondering about the Firestorm scene. I thought the new Firestorm had the same powers as the first one. In this book he turned Gen into salt. For as long as I can remember Firestorm could not affect anything organic. Was this an error or has his powers changed?
