Bug got the keyword.. but not Moondragon? And what's up with noDrax remake? bah..
DRAX ROCKS!!!!!
They say the best weapon is one you never have to fire. I respectfully disagree. I prefer the weapon you only have to fire once. That's how Dad did it, that's how America does it, and it's worked out pretty well so far." Robert Downey/Tony Stark
Now, if someone at NECA/WK would like to start making packs for updated cards for cards that were either incorrect, or where the keywords are missing, I'd be up for that. Or an updated card printing service where you can select 10 cards and get them re-printed for $5.
You know, to get a Gamora with GotG keyword, a US Agent with all the powers appearing and updated keywords (Omega Flight, etc).
Great idea .... heck I would even settle for the print and play.

Is it really that big a deal if she looses willpower so the rest of the Guardians pick up a counter to Outwit? Personally, I think that the ATA is fine just as it is, and that changing the card so that a single figure can hold onto their willpower if you want to run other Guardians with her and give them a counter to outwit as well is a terrible idea.
How about a ruling that allows the power cosmic not to get nerfed by a feat cards like this or BFCs like disbanded?... just a thought... dont worry I won't write a mile long post like the one for the videos, I just want to see opinions.

[Why'd the GotG get PWNED?
So.. between SI and HoT (and Supernova for Mantis and Drax) we got all of the new Guardians of the Galaxy, except Cosmo, but only 3 of them have the keyword...
Why didn't Gamora, Adam Warlock, Phylla Vell and Moondragon get the GotG Keyword?]
This is the best arguement for why keywords need to either be revamped or reassigned now especially.
I don't want to wait "X" number of years to get a remake of say Gamora with the CoTG keyword.
Also-get rid of all the redundant/useless keywords that nobody uses or can use as well.
There have been other threads on the realms regarding them.
We don't know if we will ever even get characters like Groot or Cosmo.
Personally I don't like that we got almost all of the Runaways and Agents of Atlas in 1 set and people have been also asking for more of the GoTG figs.

I don't think there is such a thing as 'useless keywords' considering game effects like Inside Information, Warbound, Brilliant Tactician etc. Not to mention that you never know what figures might come in future sets - how many Asgardian theme teams were played before Hammer of Thor, for instance?
That said, there are those that are easier to use, and those very unlikely to be used... but I don't think there is something as a useless keyword. Even though the chances of using say Cyblades Cyberforce keyword are pretty much non-existent, that's not really her fault. And hey, there could be other Cyberforce members made some day...
Well for our tournaments I will be granting the keyword to Drax, Gamora, Adam Warlock, Mantis and Moondragon. If someone wishes to use the ATA for them, as long as they pay the points, I will have no problem with it.
BTW I played a 600 point team of Starlord, Bug, Moondragon, Phyla Vell, Gamora and Rocket Raccoon on Saturday and it played pretty well. It was pretty balanced and competitive and also a ton of fun to play. Moondragon is a fun piece and one that you almost don't mind if she takes some feedback Mind Controlling a heavy hitter.

I'd have a problem with it, since it seems the cost of the ATA includes a discount for not being able to use the Defenders TA.
However, I would let all the above figures mixed in with keyworded Guardians count as a theme team. I just would not consider them having the keyword.

After playing them with the ATA for everyone, I think I'd almost rather not use it. It hurts Phyla and there is only so much Outwit in a game. It really didn't come in handy all that much and I think having shared defense might actually be more useful (since you're always going to be attacked but you won't always be Outwitted).

I don't know-it's a trade off-you only get like a 17 defense tops to share amongst most Defender TA figs vs not being able to be outwitted for a mere 4 pts.
Rocket Racoon performs better not being able to be outwitted IMO.
A 17 is not hard to hit anymore.
I'd rather have V Starhawk on my team than Phlya and he's only 6pts more than her.
Until the figures of Drax, Mantis, Warlock and Moondragon are released in formats that appear to be designed to match thier GotG incarnations I don't feel they should have that keyword. These characters have had many incarnations and the current figures seem to be designed to invoke previous incarnations.

I don't know if I agree to that. The big bonus to value sharing TAs IMO is consistency - it might not be hard to hit 17 once, but if you need to hit it all the time you may have some difficulty.
But hey, that's just my opinion. Your mileage may vary.

I think both are useful, I just think sharing defense is more useful since attack rolls are going to be made on almost every turn of every game. As far as Starhawk, personally, I want to play the current incarnation so it wasn't an option for me.

I can attest to that. I played a game where I had Rocket and Star Lord on either side of Bug, and his 17 defense kept both Rocket and Star Lord alive much longer than they would have otherwise.
Secret Invasion was released right around the time Annihilation: Conquest ended, or shortly after. It was after the set was produced at any rate. I'm guessing it was too late to change the cards and they didn't want to errata Gamora. As it was, it was after A:C that she joined anyway.
So...basically what others already said.
actually, secret invasion was released right around the time that guardians of the galaxy was an ongoing. there was even a secret invasion crossover in the GotG book. but does this really matter because i think wizkids(the old one anyway) got advanced information on comics, otherwise the secret invasion set would've came after the series was over. also look at the characters that were in the set and people wondered why (thor girl, she-thing) they turned out to be skrulls, i think that's why they were in the set. warlock and gamora should've had the keyword.
i actually think it'd be a good thing to have a constantly updated list of keywords to go with the figure gallery on the wizkids site. it could be someone's job to basically read comics, and add keywords as comics changed what characters should have. i think it'd be pretty cool to read a book and want to make a theme team based on it, and go online and see that those characters have had the keywords added, so all i'd have to do is print out the page and bring it with me, or if a venue has internet access they could just look it up. with print or play being a thing, this could be the next step. no more waiting for a new version of a character to make that theme team, look up your character, and there now he has the keyword. also anyone from wizkids, if you're reading this, and you're wonder who'd want that job, i'd totally do it.
