1: I guess I missed why people hate the God packs. Completely. I would love to know why all the hate exists.
Bricks that contain God packs have no other SR's in them outside the god pack. So a week ago we ran a sealed booster tournament and a player pulls a god pack. After the tournament generally there would be some impulse buys while someone tries for another SR. When the god pack is pulled, no one wants to buy the remaining boosters and the venue gets stuck with them. If a venue gets stuck with product, they are less likely to restock.
They also screwed up distribution of other SR's like Surtur, which to date have not been included in the god packs.

2: is there now no accountability for prize support with envoys and such? Is that why the prize support is being so mistreated?
No accountability this time. They let the venues purchase them, which was supposed to be limited to 1 per physical store, and do whatever they wished. So some venues got 2 kits for 16 weeks, some online retailers without a store front got the kits, and others, like mine, got none. I'm trying to be creative to keep interest up for the 16 weeks by making some custom figures... but that's a ton of work.

3: the fact that not everyone can have new maps for this game which was initially supposed to be a HOME tabltetop game is terrible.

FWIW, this is not true. I have purchased two bricks, each containing a "god pack", as well as another booster that contained a SR (for a total of 5 SRs for each brick).

Also FWIW, are you sure this specifically is a "screw up"? If I had my druthers, I would definitely not put Surtur in a "god pack" since it would be considerably easier to cherry-pick the "god packs".
Just my two lincolns.

Agreed, I will be interested to see how the OP kits are managed next time around.

Third'ed. I would imagine that maps will be made available again though. They have a funny way of re-appearing (Cons and the such).

Thank you. Having not pulled one, I had no clue why there was such a hubbub. They seemed to be a great addition to the "chase" fever. I thought that the other SR's were still being distributed accordingly and that the "God Packs" were a great rarity with a high reward but that did not affect the rest of what you garnered.
I agree with everyone now, happy that these aren't coming back.

Having venues buy Prize Support? Is this normal? When I was an envoy I just had to get my information in on time to receive support.
Making a buck off of us so we can have prize support is terrible. More and more I am getting ready to just hang my dice up.

FWIW, at $17.99 per prize kit, I find it difficult to believe that any profit of note is being made on these kits.
I don't mind the model of purchasing prize kits, but I would like to see it handled differently.
I would prefer that Envoys (as well as/or instead of Venues) had the option to purchase a kit directly from WK, but only if they (the Envoys) are attached to both a Venue and the appropriate event schedule. Obvioulsy this requires getting the OP online structure up and running, but hey, it's a thought.
I don't mind the idea of purchasing a kit, so long as I can be reasonably sure I'll get it by doing so. $17.99 is a small price to pay for three-four months worth of events IMHO.

As a judge, I wouldn't mind fronting less than twenty bucks for an entire season of events. Heck, I was out of pocket for an entire year's worth of events during WizKids' time in the desert. But I also think that there should be an incentive for the retailers who have stuck with the game through thick and thin. My venue has a sister store, and between them, they ordered 52 cases of Hammer of Thor. They received half of a prize support kit to split between them. We're talking about a classic brick and mortar shop that has run events since Infinity Challenge. Ownership has changed hands three times, the store has moved three times, judges have changed, but we've always had a thriving HeroClix scene. Needless to say, I'm very interested in WizKids' solution to the problem of the distribution of prize kits.

Secondly,
The problem I see with it is that by forcing someone to pay for the Prize Kit you are opening the door for the opinion that they are then worth for than the prizes in the past.
We are already seeing the Prize Kits bought, marked up, and sold. This drives the secondary market value up as well, since the players are then robbed of their chance to win the in a tournament. Then they have to go and buy them....this has the possibility of driving the cost up and having more and more temptation to just buy and sell the kits as necessary.
We need accountability here. Quickly. From what I'm hearing there is none.
Of course, a lot of this could be fixed with more kits available and shipped on time.
Nice update...thanks.
I loved the Turkey Pog, we played two games with them on day
after Thanksgiving. I printed x3 & each player took x1turkey.
TK Turkey bomb....love it. Snake Eyes roll against Turkey...priceless!
