Don't get me wrong - great sculpt. But I have seen parents take Horrorclix away from kids at the WK demo booth at WWE. I'm just saying that it may not go over so well, comic book accurate as it is. I am already hooked and will buy the starter. Just hoping that no parent makes a huge deal of the blood puke, is all.

I'm excited about the starter. With what they've previewed so far it's turning out to be eye candy.

Regarding the blood-rage effect: You know, we all know it's the rage plasma she's expelling. But if you look closely at it, especially if you're not familiar with the blackest night, you'd actually think she's breathing fire.

This comment from anyone else and I might take their opinion seriously. Pitiful - hardly, it is very creative and full of motion. The only thing pitiful is not letting go - let it go - it's NECA now, not your WIZKIDS.

Not only is the concept incredible and the execution superb it is comic accurate.

Yellow = Fear (Scarecrow)
Green = Willpower (You could also say "Courage" - Hal Jordan)

Indigo = Compassion (Ray Palmer/The Atom)
Violet = Love (Wonder Woman)

I won't be surprised if, aside from Hal, they go through each of the others in order through the spectrum, and save the 8th one that note mentions giving away for free as the 8th update. And I want the Sinestro Corps Scarecrow so much that I am probably about to get an Orange Ring any moment now...

This is the only starter set that I have seen that I just HAVE to buy. Mera looks awesome!!!

Could someone please explain this? I get that it's comic accurate, and I love the sculpt no matter what. But as I am not reading Blackest Night, I will admit it has me curious. What's the deal?

yeah...its the Ring

I have been unimpressed by about 95% of the sculpts since Fantastic Forces. Most have been mediocre and there have been far too many pieces of garbage.

But I must admit Mera, even a vomiting Mera, appears to match the quality of Fantastic Forces - which is saying a lot.

The only things that will take away from excitement are:

a) If its the soft junky plastic (HoT)

b) if its scaled down very small (Avengers Scarlet Witch)

c) If they keep the IC, HoT, breakable dials

I may be having my expectations raised too high - but what if they are sharing from the weakest to the best sculpt?

There's one serious flaw on that sculpt. Weight Distribution. same problem I've had with my Surtur's- not enough directly over the center of the dial, and as a result, very PRONE to going prone... that piece is likely to fall over faster than most of the ones I've seen lately.
