put Tombstone object to help Superman's defense up to 20 and put him in Hindering, making it 21. Thor will have to roll for 9 to attack him successfully.
if i was the player playing superman, i would WANT to get taken down 3 clicks...
i land on 12speed HSS, 10 attack SS, 5 damage. i then return the favor to thor.... he's not looking so good.
they are a good matchup, just because supes doesnt have the warrior ability like thor doesnt mean they messed up, this is a great rookie supes (and im not a supes fan)

You're correct; I only assumed Thor would take his second action in order to attack. I also assumed that any potshots taken by Superman at the top of his dial would miss, though there's no harm in trying.
That leaves the core point: If Thor draws first blood, then he faces roughly equivalent odds of getting hit as hard or harder by Superman's counterattack.
If Thor is lucky and Superman isn't, then Superman is probably screwed.
If Thor and Superman are both lucky, and even assuming Superman is conservative so does not use the object, here are the dials from that point forward:
ha016 E Thor
Team: No Affiliation
Range: 10
Points: 226
Keywords: Asgardian, Avengers, Deity, Warrior
You're ASSUMING that Superman is either going to get in the first hit or Thor will get in the first swing and miss. Thor STILL has to roll a 6 to hit if he attacks first, and Superman STILL has to roll a 9 if he attacks first. Let's say Superman hits first (with or without an object...doesn't really matter, Thor will have either a 11 attack with a 4 DaV, or a 10 with a 3)...Thor can still use his range to hit Superman for 3 or 4...that will put Superman off of his Hypersonic clicks. He now has to push back onto them because there's no way Thor's going to attack so that he lands on a Hypersonic/Super Strength click again.
Also, I've never played Thor without a TKer...if Thor is TKed in with a Heavy Object, Superman is now down to:
#017 Superman
Team: Superman Ally
Range: 8
Points: 216
Keywords: Metropolis, Reporter, Trinity

You can't do much with that...he's useless.
Also, we're debating who's better in a fight against each other, why not debate who's better on a TEAM? That's really the whole point here...who's more PLAYABLE?
How much can you take, and keep moving forward?
The Green Lantern Corps is DC's version of the US Marine Corps.
Cripple a back up piece and Force thier main attacker to attack him, then Return the Favor, all while Zooming around the Board. Not to mention 2 target Superman Ally is Awesome to the max. I do think he should get 1 click of 11 mid dial, but that almost not important as with his High Def and Super Good Mobility it should be very hard to make good attacks against him.

I explicitly stated that Thor got the first hit in.

1: If you have a figure that starts with Hypersonic Speed you generally can't complain about their playability. Because there's a good chance that there exists a character of similar point cost that does not have HSS. HSS always* wins.
2: Xplosion Iron Man is a VERY competitive piece. When I play him** all the other players at the venue (who generally run theme teams like Thor and a bunch of Valkyries) groan about how they are being set upon be the cheese
*usually
** With Trick Shot, TB to GL and a bunch of Hand Ninjas and U-Men.

I like the dial and think it's interesting and atleast no one is complaining it's broken.
This post is rep-able.
The dial is good for the points not broken for the points. It's all-around STELLAR game design. I have not been more pleased with game design since Armor Wars.

Everyone keeps making the Thor vs Superman comparison. My concern is Superman vs Street Thug. As it is, Supes needs a 6 or better to hit a stree thug, that is a 58.3% chance of missing. Now how often does Superman miss a comon thug in the comics????

Uh, no. If you need a 6 or better, you have a better than 50% chance of hitting someone.
